In the Classical Forum I read that a couple of people like jazz. Peachy keen. Jazz is probably the only true American music and it really has soul. I love jazz. And not that new age crap. Nope. Byrd, Dizzy Gillespie and the Duke totally rule. Does anybody else like jazz?
Or, do you dislike it?

Coltrane is nice. I like Jazz because I really think it comes from the soul. It's just that type of music that moves you, or loses you. I mean, you listen to "In My Solitude" by Billy Holiday and you can just feel the pain she's going through. Same with Charlie Parker's solos. Dizzy Gillespie and the Duke weren't much for depression, which is fine. I love their stuff.

Strange fruit is beautiful, but, at the same time, really creppy. It makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up just because it's so horrible hearing a jazz song about a man getting lynched.

nope, just smooth jazz. I only know billie holiday and one song. I can't remember the name of the song right now, but in english it is Autumn Leaves, though some people say its really called Dead Leaves. Which is true, the french word means 'dead', so i never really got it Sad

i sooo want to love Jazz because it seams so sexy to me and also kindof old and i have an old soul so i genuinly want to love this type of music but unfortunatly the little bit of jazz that i have heard was awful.

oh yes

Sade sings so beautifully. She is like in a league of her own. And she makes her video's mean something. I havent heard anything from her lately, has she done anything new?
