4:Four Past Midnight (a collection of four of his stories, like the Library Police)

The next book of his that I WANT to read is Hearts in Atlantis.

I've posted things three times.
It happens when your computer is being stupid and you after you hit the reply button, nothing happens...so you go back and hit it again. But you don't realize, in most cases it usually worked anyway. Laughing

Anyway, back to King. :)

I'm trying to read "The Gunslinger" right now but it's coming along slow. I'm not much into fantasy. I've decided to break from it until Christmas break and then try again. In the mean time I'm reading one of his short stories from "Four Past Midnight" called The Library Policeman. Very Happy

Stephen King is one of my favorite authors.

I'm in the middle of reading the second book of the Dark Tower series. That one is coming along slow but only because I have other books to read for my English class. But yeah, if you're not into fantasy or western themes then it is a hard book to read through and truely enjoy it. I actually enjoy western settings so Gunslinger was a wonderful book to me. :)

IT is the best though. Just in my opinion, its the best book Mr. King has written so far. Its a long read but well worth it because the story is so powerful and the characters are so well developed. With a plot that developes and grows into something unreal and beyond the normal imagination, it becomes a timeless novel for the modern ages.

dude he's making Desperation into a movie?? and in ur town?! s**t that rules!

i like his work, my only problem is he can be pretty terrible when it comes to ending a great story. I hear he smokes weed when he writes. Don't know tho.

Oh, god . . . that would explain a few things. LOL. But, I love Steven King. I've read most of his books, including the Dark Tower series, IT, Salem's Lot, Fire Starter (don't remember the name of that fire book, but I read it, and loved it!), and many, many more whose names I can't remember. The only thing I don't like about them is the fact that there's so much sex talk in them. That's the only thing.

He was almost going to film "The Shining" (I've read that, too) in the Mount Washington Hotel, which is very near to where I live. I would've been psyched, but the Hotel didn't let him, because of the reputation. They should've filmed it at the Balsams (which is even nearer to where I live), which is a beautiful resort, but too small. It's haunted already, though. That's what I've heard! Razz There are plenty of stories about it. It's in Dixville Notch. My dad used to work there, but got layed off. That pissed me off big time.

Don't worry MrsLupinBlackTookBrandybuck, as long as you know you it shouldn't happen. Some people can be really annoying making me having to repeat myself.
Anyways, I like his movie, Rose Red. Never read the book but thought the movie was good but so long.

I liked the books On Writing, IT, and his Dark Tower series. I've started on his Eye of the Dragon, Carrie, and Christine.

All that I read so far has been great. He's an excellent author and I love 'im! He lives not too far from me, which rocks... Couple hours maybe. Mom saw one of his old houses back before I was born I think, I really wish I could though.... I wanna be a good writer like him, but alas... I suck.
