make them listen to britney spears live until thier heads explode (unknown)
I know it doesn't have any origin in mythology, but it'd sure as hell be funny to see. I'd love seeing all the head guts fly onto her. _________________ |

The silver is from the bible actually. Some people think the first vampire was Judas, and he betrayed christ for silver coins. After he was bitten by a demon, and he killed himself he woke up as a walking corpse that needed blood to survive. His weakness was all that reminded him of christ's betrayal. Silver, crucifixes, quotes from the bible.
The stake through the heart is the weakness of dracula. He became feared for killing many people, by impaling them. In Bram stokers Dracula, the only way to kill him, is to put a stake through his heart, as he did to other people, and then, cutting off the head, and putting it between his legs, and burning the remains.
As for the sunlight: In the same book it is said that sunlight weakens vampires, but doesn't kill them.
An other method is holy water. I don't know where it is from precisely, but it is probably related to the bible.
one more: the whip from castlevania. |

I also believe you had to put garlic in the mouth after severing the head. i might be wrong. _________________

Yeah, that could be. I don't remember either, but what I'm really trying to say, is that vampires and mythology about them isn't from television series. |

the real van Helsing is a 60 year old (or something like that) dutch professor of anthropology. Nothing like the werwolf guy with spinning blades and automatic crossbows from the movie. |

unfortunately, no one is going to want to watch a movie about an aging professor. i think they could have pulled it off, but the script was so poorly written. it needed better writers! _________________

If they used Sean Connery as the aging professor, it could have been awesome. And he could be fighting Christofer Lee as Dracula. |

Sean Connery would have pulled it off very well, that guy is my hero (well, one of them). Christofer Lee as Dracula, wouldn't have thought of that, but a very good choice. They should've had you behing the productiuon of this thing. then maybe we would have gotten a decent movie, instead of this overhyped, special effects-saturated peice of crap. _________________

This is a picture of van Helsing I made before the movie was out. I have been thinking about making a comic about Dracula, but I never really started it. You know how it goes.. too many ideas, and not enough patience to do everything. |

this is how i kill vampires:
first off, i like to start by taking a bath, in hot melting soothing water. i then rub lotion all over my wet body. I make myself desirable to the vampire.
Secondly, i call the vampire on its home phone, and set up an evening to meet, and discuss over a nice hot meal.
I then like to prepare by purchasing chocolates, and roses. And pick out the perfect outfit to wear.
finally, i meet with the vampire, and she is looking lovely. I then take out holy water and throw it at her. then i take a wooden stake and i shove it into her.
After this i like to go home, and start making plans with werewolves.
another way i kill vampires.......go read my FAC profile, not the forums one, the real one, i kill a vampire in my biography. |

Haven't ever really seen any vampire stuff, so the closest thing I can come up with is a neon sign from the Hostess cupcake commercial. He didn't die, but he was injured so it's close. Again, it's the closest I can come up with. _________________ |

Still it's something to keep in mind if you happen to be chased by a vampire while you're hanggliding at night. *nods* _________________

um the garlic and head thang ,wouldn't cutting its head off kill it anyway? i mean garlic would smell like garlic grossing every1 out, so does the garlic insure none of its vampire buddies comes along and reattaches its head? or do vampires have an unknown talent for getting their heads back on? |
