I have been amazed by amy's (jhonenfreak's) and other pixel artists abilities lately.... and I want to know what programs you use, wich techniques there are, where did you learn... EVERYTHING!
I want to learn the pixel art thing because I think its really cool to make a whole drawing out of squares, drawing square by square obviously.... so any help please?

I use 2 programs.

MS Paint, and Photoshop.

just try it the moire you do the better you'll get

I use MS Paint to draw it, Paint Shop Pro for transparancies (only when color count doesn't matter), and Jasc Animation Shop 3 to animate.

I'm actually not allowed to release those images, but I thought the bed was the best example of both dithering and anti-aliasing, and the tree was the only thing I had ever outlined. (Both are important to learning different styles and techniques of pixel art.) Plus, no one's going to see them other than the people at FAC. I only put the water mark on as a "just incase" so as to not get fired.

and why you can't show them? is it because you are in the pixel mafia or what?

It's because they technically don't belong to me. Fusion City (it's like Habbo Hotel, but better) hired me to draw some furniture and plants, but they fired the last guy who leaked images. I've just been so eager to get people to see my stuff that I've worked on for so long. I'm finishing up the log in screen right now, so I should be allowed to show you guys that when the site's open. The furniture and stuff can only be viewed by subscribed members.

Aww, Ogrim, you should know better than to expect tracings or "edits" of copyrighted material to stay in your FAC gallery for long.
