People who obsess over fictional cartoon characters have no life, not to say I haven't been obssessed with a charcter but.... it's just scary. It's has something to do with the supernatural I bet. o_o It all makes sense now.....

As you grow older, you grow out of the 'fangirl' stage, where certain characters are 'yours', and stuff like that. Don't we all have dreams of being princesses in some fairytale land? (or at least the girls)
I hate fancharacters and I am against them.
I don't necessarily agree with that. It all depends on how you present your character: on how developed he/she is, not just some stereotipical chick/dude.

I guess you could consider me as being a fangirl but Im not as crazy as some fangirls out there. Sure I can scare my sister every now and then with my fangirlism but still, I know my limits and I know when I should stop.
Seriously though some people are insane I tell ya! Beware!

I don't even want to know how many fangirls there are on FAC, I might die of shock either way lol

the term fan girl is truely these days out of proportion but what can you do if your a fan, but if you say your a fangirl its tough cuz people automaticly think you over obssed but thats sorta of,well unless your one of those inuyasha fan girls or sesshomaru or....ok ill stop. but im so glad im apart of the fangirl for hire alliance cause getting paid in pocky is fun.

You can be a fan without being a 'fangirl' ('fanboy'). I think that this term implies that you're overly obsessive.

Fangirl...I didn't realize that the word had such a negative connotation to it, but then again I guess I kind of know what you mean. I'll bet being a hardcore fangirl really has to be hard work to endure all the criticism and bashing they receive. Tough little troopers they must be and unfailingly loyal to their favorite characters too. Loyalty, endurance, and most importantly dedication...these are all good traits to have in the real world. The funny thing about obsessed fangirls in general is that they already have essential basics for being successful in life, but it's just a matter of them applying these useful traits to endevors such as school, work and relationships. I kind of admire them in that respect, but it doesn't making them any less annoying. <_<

I really do wonder about how many of them there really are, though...there's got to be tons...and someone mentioned earlier about everyone having a little fangirl/fanboy...so does that mean...we'll never escape the terror known as "THE FANGIRL" Very Happy

Uneasy I've been a bit of a hypocrite...if anyone has ever taken a look at my gallery...it's couple eccentric...so maybe I'm borderline fangirl...(I hope not) Uneasy

Oh boy, this is going off track. Everyone in the world is a fangirl or fanboy. There will always be someone you look up to, a rock star, a parent, even a rival. The word "fan" is not always used under the circumstances that the person is thoroughly, and overly obssesed. When I said, "Fangirls" I meant, members on FAC who scream KAWAII!!!1 on almost every post, who praise and obsses over a NON-EXISTENT character and believe that they are married/girlfriend with the non-existent character and spew random crap anytime someone else tries to mention something nice about the character.

I do not, on any means, refer to every, single, possible, definition of a fangirl. So there, before this breaks out into an arguement.

I guess I'm part of the 15%...but still I guess they just have nothing better to do than be like overly obsessed with something....

The real big fangirls/boys scare me. Like the ones that do cosplay and like cut out pictures of themself and glue it to a picture of some anime show or whatever..that's just creepy....don't cha agree!!!!

Agreed... even though I may be one of those %15 fangirls as well.
You know, it does get kinda scary though, if your world seems to revolve around one certain person you know doesn't exist. Plus, my friends sometimes drive me cray on thie obsession towards Sesshomaru.

Fangirls are not that bad.Their behaviour is like a Fad.One day it is there, the next day it is gone.A man can't possibly say I love eating pizzaand i will only it pizza forever. He will eventually get tired of eatting pizza and eat something else.

I'm sorry to say, that was really funny.
Yeah, they do tend to move on from guy to guy, my sister goes back & forth from the human inuyasha to Takuya (she's only 12, mind you.)

Ok, I have one fancharacter but I dont really like the whole fancharacter thing. Sometimes I wish all fancharacters (Including mine) would dissappear. Anyways I am obviously a sonic and InuYasha fangirl, but mostly the number 1, InuYasha!

But seriously, you can't go viewing a picture of the original character without seeing the fan made ones with them these days.Sonic is a terrible example of being flooded by fanmade characters. There are so many Amy Rose and Tails fanmade look alike here and even outside FAC.

Personaly, I think there are more YAOI fangirls then character fangirls, I know or have seen more girls that like yaoi more then male characters in an anime (one of the yaoi fans including myself) Rolling eyes (or in some cases...girls in a anime, btw im not flaming on BiSexuals or Gays) but thats just my opinion
