Unfinished Pieces

I thought there should be a thread for the pieces of work that you started but never finished. Not the stuff your currently working on but the ones you just stopped and probably won't finish or you just don't know.

I have [b]a lot[/b] of these laying around the place. And i got to thinking how they can usually be decent or a good idea so why not show them, even if some of them were barely even started in the first place.

To what was, what could have been, right? Well this one i started when final fantasy X2 came out but i never finished it. I only got yuna's head and gun in and i got fed up and quit. Why, because i couldn't get the front of her done right and it was making her chest look funny

silly, i know. I don't know how the red smuge got on there but the rest of it is quite blurred from being moved around and touched a lot.

Pretty much just a sketch/doodle, but whatever. It was originally going to have a body, but right after I scanned this, a bunch of random dirt got all over the paper and I was never able to finish it. Sad

...Dude. I have so much unfinished stuff it's insane. Laughing

All my friends always tell me to finish my work, but I never do. :/ God. I have like three sketchbooks worth of unfinished art. :s

I usually complete everything, I'm one of those no-sketch, always full-color drawings person. :D

you guys should try to finish your pieces even if you have SARS, etc. etc.

The piece you see in my sig? my latest one? I nearly stopped working on it dozen times in the middle since I was messing up the faces. Then I found out the way to "melt" the ruddy pencil wax and make a spotty effect, I liked it. ;)

I don't like to leave things half finished but sometimes I just can't finish it so I throw it away , but I don't really like to leave unfinished work.

I like to finish my pieces, but sometimes, something just goes terribly wrong with it that no adjustment can fix.

I thought it was turning out really good when I drew it earlier this year. I got rather tired of working on it, put it down for a month...

But in that month, I did some work. I studied my anatomy a bit, I learned to draw and color abs properly, I learned to color gold better... And then I went back to the picture. AAAAARGH. Everything about it was SO, SO WRONG. I wanted to smack myself. There was no fixing it, either. It was already inked. :/ So I abandoned it.

It wasn't *that* bad, but it wasn't good enough, either. I also fail at perspective, so I couldn't attach a body to Bakura, no matter how hard I tried.

And now that I look at all my unfinsheds, I also seem to fail at fanservicely drawings.

I never throw my drawings away, though, unless they're shoddy classroom sketches or something. I like to see how I've improved.

Though I did just go through some 3 or 4 boxes of old Pokemon and Digimon drawings (yes, 3 or 4 boxes!) and tossed most of them. Somebody should have slapped me in my Lugia and Beelzebumon obsession stages. It was like... the same drawing, over and over again. e_e; 300 of them. I kept about 30 that were decent, and recycled the rest. I don't need 'em. :/

I always throw out the stuff I don't finish because It haunts me so. Uneasy

I see it lying around and I know it won't get finsihed so I can't bear to look at it.

I got lots of stuff undone, but i really want to finish them because they are great ideas and great drawings missing their heads or their hands!
