Alright, fallen said that if we started this thread, she'd give us hundreds of these people. I figured I'd say Zack de la Rocha, formerly of Rage Against the Machine. He has awesome lyrics and had a good cause, and it's great he's still going for it, but you haven't heard from him since RATM turned into Audioslave and the reason he left was because "no work was getting done, politically speaking". If he had stayed, he would have accomplished more. Now, you see him nowhere and his angry lyrics are shadows of his tortured, politically fueled past. Probably will go insane like his father. _________________ Not all who wander are lost.

You want reasons or just the list? I'll do the main ones instead of the smaller names no one would even know who they are.
Axl Rose - Seven years workin' on Chinese Democracy and it's STILL "comin' out real soon"? Buckethead left the band 3 MONTHS before Rock in Rio, leaving him with two remaining guitarists, and he had to cancel? There's not some kid in the entire world that would love the chance to play the Guns songs? It's not 1992 anymore, and instead of trying to redeem himself with a great album or patch things up with the original Gunners who, with the exception of Izzy, are still willing to deal with him if he gets his s**t together, he's off finding new fake braids and chemical peels to get. I'll try not to write this much about the others.
Jani Lane - Drunk, fat little punk that can't pull himself together enough to take advantage of all the opportunities he doesn't deserve.
Vince Neil - Similar to Jani. Still thinks he's hot stuff and can make it as a solo artist.
Nikki Sixx - Expectin' to be on top of the world again while getting further and further away from the one thing that would put him there, cutting out the bickering with Vince.
Tommy Lee - You are not a black gangsta. End.
Bret Michaels - No one's buyin' the fake hair. No one's buyin' the country boy act. But much cooler than most of the others in that he's still proud of what he did and not tryin' to run around swearing he wasn't in a hair band.
Sebastian Bach - You were in a hair band. Period. Starring in Jesus Christ Superstar is not your personal concert for you to run around like a jackass at the end of flashin' the metal horns.
David Lee Roth - Livin' in his own little world.
All the Nu Metal dudes - They think they're uber bad. Ahaha.
All the little mtv punks - And they think they're punks!
More later. Gotta write a paper. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

aww lol chris how are you dilusional?
haha i like your list there fallen. david lee roth really is in his own little world. and yes, damn all the nu metal and mtv punks.
hmm... courtney love. i'll admit it's a biased opinion b/c i reeeeally hate her, but come on. she thinks she's the s**t now b/c she's the self-imposed "america's sweetheart?" no. she needs to learn to put on lipstick correctly, stop drunkenly flaunting around poor little frances bean, and just... stop. hole was ok, mostly because kurt wrote music for them and helped them out or whatever, but she just sucks.
michael jackson. not a rocker, but i can't think of anyone else. he's REALLY living in his own little world. he's in denial about his skin colour and heritage, he still thinks he's the "king of pop" (another self-imposed title), and he thinks it's ok to have sleepovers with little boys. it's just right. lol anyone see the southpark episode with him? o god funny stuff, man. i heart that show _________________ i fought the war, but the war won |

Tons of people think that Courtney Love pulled the trigger on Kurt. _________________ Not all who wander are lost.

I like Dave's world. There's lots of booze and bright colors... He can be king or emperor or supreme overlord or whatever the hell he thinks he is for all I care.
Scott Weiland - Little drug monkey. Been given enough chances and still fucks every single one up. I feel bad for his kids.
If you want a list, all for mainly the same reason (still think it's 1988)...
Jerry Dixon
Mike Fasano
Jizzy Pearl
Don Dokken
Bobby Blotzer
Billy Morris
Stephen Pearcy
Steve "Sex" Summers
London
Ted Nugent (actually, he's just the most clinically insane)
Kip Winger
Chip Z'nuff
Donnie Vie
Ricky Parent
Tracii Guns
Meh. I'm bored. Just like with the poser thing, I like a lot of those dudes. They just ain't real realistic in their thinkin'.

Oh god, my friend still wants to jump his bones. Kinda makes me sick to think about it. I know her tastes aren't all bad (she does dig Billy Idol n' David Bowie), but...we've all seen Keith lately. Enough said.
Sammy Hagar - He thinks he's a member of Van Halen. And that never ceases to amuse me. Get back on the beach and drink your tequila, buddy. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

And Mick. After all that s**t he yells about "screw monarchy", he allows himself to be knighted and Keith goes crazy over it. _________________ Not all who wander are lost.

That's why Bowie's cool for saying no.
I still like Mick. Because he's cool. Anorexic skinny, but cool. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

It's just the knighting thing that angered me. My dad hated him afterwards for it. He went to a concert where Mick was screaming all this stuff about the queen. He respected him until he was knighted, and then it all went to Hell. _________________ Not all who wander are lost.

Meh, I don't blame him, really. Look at almost all the bands. Do any of them stand by everything they supposedly stand for? All these guys who start out on the streets and playin' non-paying club gigs and bumming food off chicks singing about how rough it is and saying the bands with live albums, greatest hits albums, excessive merchandise, etc. are sell-outs to the music. Soon as they've got a platinum record or two under their belts they're right there with 'em.
Maybe it's just 'cause I'm American and don't think being knighted is a big deal, anyway, but I could really care less. What, you're rebelling against a little old woman who doesn't even have a purpose anymore? Oh what a rebel. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

COURTNEY LOVE. Can't believe I forgot her. Biggest idiot in rock, and always wasted. Even Kurt wasn't wasted all of the time. _________________ Not all who wander are lost.
