Mom's no fan of documentaries, but unlike most of what passes for entertainment these days, History Channel usually has something interesting on. I find it quite fascinating, really.
"Modern Marvels" owns. Last night's episodes were on the history of Snack Foods (such as donuts, jerky, gum, etc.), and Sugar.

I love the history channel. I used to watch Haunted History and Histories Mysteries every morning during the summer. Yeah, I was weird. Still am, actually! |

yeah, I watch it, cause I learn more from it, then I ever did in school. since school only focused on what America was doing, and history gives world history.
I like learnign about candy and pop history too ^^ like the fact is started out as Coke Moxi, and Pepsi. Pepsi went under for a while, leaving Coke and Moxi, then Pepsi came back, and Moxi went under. Can still get Moxi, but it's not that good XP |

My Sister (15) loves every WWII stuff she can get. She watches that channel sporadically.
I prefer learning history through, you know, actual classes.

I haven't watched it much lately. I'm not too big on history of World Wars. Now something like the Punic Wars, the plague, or something on Philosphers. Now those are always good. |

Band of Brothers is my fav HBO series. This and many other factors is what I luv most about the history CHannel. The Knowledge that one can grasp from it is astounding.
