Everytime my Dad comes over we end up discussing things that happened to him and this brothers when they were little. Also things that happened to us.

My oldest brother takes phases where he's obsessed with random things.
We had a list:

Flashlights
Fly swaters
Bridges
Plug-ins
Post offices
Care bears
Whi
Fishing
Birds
Watches/clocks

And there were a few more, but the fly swaters are my favorite. Mom and dad would bring him home a two pack of fly swaters and it'd keep him entertained for days.

Any ones to share?

Rider Red wagon
tricycle
dog
sled
igloo
squirt gun
snake
mud pies
creek
cats
tire swing

My favs are either the red wagon or the tire swing. With the wagon we used to play these games in my neighborhood called "blindman driving". We lived in this kinda steep area at the base of a mountain and so the neighborhood was really small w/ windy streets, and what we'd do is a kid would lay down in the Rider wagon, take the handle, and steer. And note that the kid probably couldn't see very well. It was fun. And no children were harmed...
Just scraped.
In the tire swing we'd play "daredevil" (jeez, as a young child I musta been suicidal) and so one kid would lay down flat on their back under the tire swing while a kid was on the swing and the kid below the swing could not move a muscle until the tire stopped completely.
Sounds stupid, but I thought it was fun.

In the area where I lived we would all go to the park in the summer and climb untop of the monkey bars which were about four feet up[ in the air and try and push each other off. I came out wiyh a broken wrist once. Also up until thrid grade my friends would have mini-wars boys vs. girls. No fists, just twigs. man those were the days. Razz

Man, we're all reminicing like old people.
But yeah, they were the good days.
I really liked my childhood. It was fun. Chaotic, sometimes painful, but really fun. I always had a tough time with monkey bars, though. We never seemed to get alone.
Now I'm so tall that when I try to play on monkey bars, my feet touch the ground. Sad

Yeah, but who cares if we want to reminice. My best memory so far in my life is a childhood memory.

I didn't have that much fun in my childhood... the longest we ever stayed in a house was a year and half so I wouldn't consider it "home" but now it's already been five years we're living in the same place.

I didn't have friends to play with, only my sis (twin) and one since I'm 6. 10 years we're friends now ('cause I'm about to be 16 but I won't explain the whole stry thing)
It wasn't that fun.. Or I'd get to have friends (and they used me) or I always was alone.. Really didn't help for my self estime and socialisation... Neither it did for my trust toward people but now I got friends I have since 3 years now ^^

Glad things got much better then they were when I was a kid but it was hard to get ot that way. had to get over shyness (Not I'm not that shy, maybe not enough sometimes lol) though I still have some scars about the lack of trust though. I still can have a pretty hard time with it sometimes.

But I remember when my sis and I used to prank the teachers saying we were the other so they'd get all confused until someone knowing who was who would tell. It really was fun also to scare the crap outta my parents because we could've killed ourselves many times by climbing very usafe places lol Laughing We had lot of fun together and were best of friends ^_^

So in big, I love and hate my childhood. At least the thing is that it made us kinda strong toward some things.

I have nothing against reminicing. In fact, I love to do it. I wish I was still a kid now 'cuz now I'm too tall and old to fit in playgrounds, climb unsafe trees in relative safety, be a brat and get away with it...
I miss being a little person. Sad
The perks of high school is that I will get my permit next year.
Yes!

One of my greatest memories was of playing with my cousin Ryan, who is a year younger than me, at the beach. I think I was about five. My parents had brought some bowls and buckets and stuff to play with, and I filled a pie tin with sand and water, decorated it with shells, and pretended that it was a cake. So then, expecting him to play along, I showed him my creation and asked him if he wanted some of my delicious cake. And, of course, instead of going with the game, he ate the sand pie. Laughing

Also my friend Nina's house backs up to the forest, so we'd spend hours there climbing trees, getting stuck on the sides of cliffs, and hididng in bushes. There was one bush that we always played in that was the perfect size, we could almost stand up in it!

Laughing I loved climbing trees when I was little. I was like: MONKEY GIRL!!!
It was fun.
Except when I couldn't get down the tree I just climbed.
Then it was sad.
I loved exploring. It was just a blast to do so. Did anybody else act like little explorers?

Throwing rocks at cars and houses. Breaking into my neighbors house and egging it. Holidays.. My family wasn't very active so I don't have a whole lotta entertaining memories of them. Elementary school.... going from classroom to classroom stealing everyones show and tell stuff. It was around the time that troll doll things were really popular. I scored.

I dunno. I'm old. Don't remember everything.

Troll dolls have frightened me since birth. WTF?
Show and Tell. Hah. I always did show and tell. Was such a ham.
Still am...

You want to know what I remember most about my childhood summer? Well either way I'm posting it.

My best friend Aira and I would climb this huge oak tree and bring backpacks full of camping stuff and stay up their as long as we wanted. We were able to stay up there up night if we wanted. In the morning we'd throw acorns at Britnney and Crissy McKone.Stupid b*tches never knew what hit e'm...lituraly. They thought it was squirles, dumbasses. . . . . '
The acorn attacks began when Aira and me were five and now were sixteen and we still hit them this summer. God without those idiots summer would be very boring.
