I cant explain you why you have the trojan or why you should change your computer... But I can advise you to chose the most important files to you (pictures, poems, songs, school projects, whatever you store in it that is important to you and you will need them later) and store them in a USB device, after that reformat everything, install windows again and try to use it like that, if you cant then you may just throw it to the garbage..... any help DF? _________________

I have basically the same problem.. only I think I know how to get rid of mine, I just don't have the program. ;_;
Answers to your questions:
Someone to write up an explination why we need to go to like best buy or something to get rid of the Trojan damage, etc, and how to do it and what prepping we need to do to our computer to my parents. So that they can understand why they need to do it. In little words please.. try not to put much techonolgical wording in there, because you'll just confuse them.
1.) Why? Simple. Because if you don't, the trojan will eventually destroy the computer beyond repair and you'll lose everything on it (Depending on how badly the trojan's infect your computer...and how damaging they are meant to be) If you have any personal information on there, it can be hacked into. This means, the hacker (If it is a hacking trojan) will be able to access your home address, personal information- all that jazz. Besides that, a hacker can hack into your computer and do things from your computer itself. This means: They can download, watch and download child pornography (In which an I.P. Address can be hacked back to you for, and you will most likely get the blame.) More can probably happen, but those are the most major things I can think of.
2) Explain to me how in the first damn place, I got that damn trojan that started all this bullshit and how those other three got on here. And how to fix the tast manager and how to fix that error thing. Or will wiping the system to that for me?
2. Well, to answer your last question. Reformatting the hard drive will rid you of any spyware/adware/viruses/tracking cookies/trojans/whatever the hell kind of things a computer has now. Now, how you got the trojan - I can think of many ways that don't include downloading - such as the pop-up ad's your dear computer pops up! Ohhh yes, those 'YOU HAVE WON A PSP!!' ad's can and most likely will give you a trojan, or more adware that will pop those ad ups to give you a trojan. Seeing how they seem to pop up right where your mouse is, you've probably accidently clicked on one and - bingo. Virus time! Another thing is that if you are an Internet Explorer user - I.E. Has more holes in it's sercurity system than any other internet browser. I'd suggest you'd go to your start window (When your computer works), bring up Control Panel. Click the Windows firewall and see if it's on. This might prevent pop ups and may help prevent the trojan from firing up at start up.
Now, you're probably wondering 'Firing up at start up? What do you mean?' well, look at the right corner. See the icons? That shows the things you have running in the background. To see if the trojan is firing up at Start up, open start. Click 'Run' and type in, 'MSconfig', then when that window pop up, look for 'Start up' and see if you see any programs that shouldn't belong there. (To know which programs don't go there and which you don't need to slow down your computer - Ask Dew, he knows more than me)
The other three were probably on your computer first before you got the trojan and probably caused the trojan.
To fix Task Manager, IM Dew for that - he might know about me more than me.
3) How to delete these damn spyware, virus, and worm off my computer. Or will that get wiped away too? But still tell me incase it doesn't get wiped away so I know better
3. Hm.. there are possible solutions to this.
1) Get AVP software (I'll post the link when I find it) It shows exactly where the virus is located on your computer. From there, you might be able to delete it manually. Terminate it basically.
2)Get SpySweeper (Trial Version) from www.webroot.com (It's under downloads for small business and home) - This program works like a charm. It's never given me a problem and it's easy to use - it's deleted 16 trojans from this computer and 13 different adware I had it was so effective.
3) Do a system restore - What's this? Go to start, all programs, Accessories, system tools, and look for 'System Restore'
System Restore will restore your computer to a date it has saved on the computer from a previous time. See if you can find a way to go back a couple of months before the problem started happening and restore your computer to that point - sure, you lose some files unless you save them to a floppy or some sort of a disk, but would you rather lose a couple of files or your whole computer?
Things your parents may not know:
I.P. - An IP address is basically a number so your computer can be tracked if it needs to be. This number basically acts as a social security number of the computer - every computer has one.
If you need clarafication on what some of these mean, you can IM me on Yahoo at xgothicxoxfa1ryx
I hope I helped. :)

Put all your good files (no corrupt ones) on a disk/in a usb wand stick thing.
Nuke the s**t out the PC. Start from scratch and restore it to factory settings.
Install Windows or whatever you need to do to get yourself back again. Unload all your files back into the system.
Download YIM and say hi to me. |

DF, Gray just basically said what I told you to do before. There's really nothing you can do at this point besides 'nuke' it. _________________ |

You have a Compaq. Compaq PC's are riddled with problems, no matter what you do. If you use IE (Internet Explorer) you should go to this link: Download the FREE Firefox 1.5 Web Browser and use firefox as your main Browser. IE is a microsoft product and hence has more security holes than Swiss Cheeze. Seriously.
send me your PC info and i might be able to tell you some more ways to protect your PC. (and don't just limit yourself to one Anti-Spyware program. i use 5 on my PC and my MDG has had no problems whatsoever.) |

The task bar
Like snow says, press run and type in MSconfig.
With boot .INI you can start in safe mode. That'd be a good idea. *note, This will make your icons huge. And you won't be able to get to some of em' if you have lots of em'
Check Safeboot and restart.
Done that? Did it work out ok? It's not doing it, is it? If it is not doing it:
go to Msconfig again, But this time go to Win.ini. If you see any of your Virus fiends on this list, DISABLE THEM with the button on the right of the (now big) window.
Last, in the same window, Fo a Virus hunt in the Startup tab.
*I'm running a dell with a ninvidia card. , if there is something on this list you don't see, Ignore it.
