Yes it's one my "why is it" thought in my head.

Why is that when a child has imagination he/she is considered as playful and creative?

But when an adult has imagination he/she is known as a crazy, a nutcase, mentally ill, and is sent to an institution?

I think it's stupid that an adult can't have an imagination w/o being thought of as nutty. It's fun to have imagination. Sad I have one and I 'm litterally on the level of genius. (140 if you must know)

LOL at the kid who thinks that 140 comes close to the genius range.

lmao.

It takes a lot more than 140 to be considered a genius.

Anyway.

I don't really hear about adults being called insane when they're being creative. In fact, the more imagination one has, the more worshippers they get.

Really.

Look at pop art.

And Salvadore Dali.

It's for both. Kids have imaginary friends and adults imagine their crabby boss getting hit by a truck.

Nice one Katie

I think it belongs to both. Children have fun imaginating things and adults can escape reality for a few minutes. Nothing to be insane.

Also, without imagination, there wouldn't be any good books or art pieces. Without imagination, it would all be the same.

I have an imagination...

Am I crazy?

Certainly not. It's those who overuse it who are seen as crazy.

This thread isn't about you being a genius, sweety. ;)

I think, that imagination leads to invention, which leads to commercialization, which leads to angry christains.

Didn't the founder of Mormonism have an overactive imagination?

Everytime I talk about Ray or any of my other characters, my mom tells me to get out of fantasy or la-la land. Ack, I tell her I just have a good imagination, but she just tells me to grow up.

I think imagination is for everybody, but my mom doesn't seem to think so.

In my opinion, imagination is pretty much the greatest thing that humans have compared to animals. As an artist I am very thankful that imagination is something I don't take advantage of and use it to express my art.

Without imagination people are just dull and have nothing exciting about them I think. Without imagination the world would just seem pointless, how would we get anything done.

Kids and adults have two different types of imagination I think, but often they are mixed together. I think its important for adults to keep imagination both to keep the world (society and ect) going and for kids to use imagination to entertain themselves and have a good time.

Personally I think its one of the greatest gifts we could ever have  how corny was that haha.
