Question: Apocripha/0

I really really really really REALLY want to play Apocripha/0. I bought the artbook over the summer and I'm COMPLETELY obsessed. Unfortunately, it has no English release and probably never will (being a shonen-ai romance game) and I only have an American PS2. Does anybody know how I can 1. find Apocripha/0 and 2. play it?

In addition/ failing that, I want to put Apocripha/0 into one of my fanfictions, called Worlds Beyond Infinity. But all I have to go on is the artbook. If anybody KNOWS anything about the Apocripha/0 characters, can you tell me please? Like, personality, habits, idiosyncrasies, hidden past secrets, etc.? All I know is their names...

Buy the PC version. It should install fine, and Windows XP allows easy change between operating languages. Just switch it to Japanese and it should install and play just fine.

Just a warnin', though, there's likely two different PC versions (well, in my experience, most BL games have the base version (shounen ai) and the extra disk (yaoi; 18+) that installs on top of the other one) so be careful when you buy a copy because you probably just want the base game.

I've never played Apocripha/0 myself, although I've seen the art and it's pretty nice. I prefer Angel's Feather, though, because it's not all "interactive novel" like and it's an RPG. X3

OMG!!!!!!!!!!! I have the Angel's Feather artbook too!!!!!!!! That was going to be the next thing I asked about!!!!!!! PC, huh? Okay. Do you know anywhere I could get it? Well, erm, sorry, that's kinda a dumb thing to ask. What kind of places should I look? I'm a total moron when it comes to these things. Where'd you find Angel's Feather? It's good? Oooooh, I need to start looking harder!!! It's just that where I live there's practically NOTHING that sells ANYTHING interesting. Could I maybe find them at a convention? Or a Gamers store? (Gamers like DiGi Charat Gamers, not a gaming store.) Thank you SOOOOOO much for telling me!!!! WHEEEEEE!!!! I need to go scream somewhere and relieve my feelings!!! Thanks again!

I bet even in Japan it's a little difficult to find the actual PC games in stores because they're BL, although I have no doubt that paraphernalia is easy enough to get. xD

It's doubtful you'll find them at a convention, and if you do, you'll probably end up shelling out at least $100 for it. I remember this one convention I went to, someone paid $200 for a Japanese copy of Final Fantasy X-2 before it got translated. o_o;

lol, I love Angel's Feather. The characters are really cute. I personally like Winfield!Sena the most, although Kai gets points for having Midorikawa Hikaru as his voice actor. Then again, Shou has Yamaguchi Kappei~ This game has all these famous voice actors~ <3

The battle system is okay. Basic kind of turn-based stuff happening. It could have been a little more interesting if they had a bunch of different things they could say instead of just one thing for spell casting/attacking/fainting/etc. because it gets kinda monotonous after a while. DX But I still like it because it's much better than the typical novel pace most other BL games do, like Sukisyo.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's a group fantranslating Apocripha/0. It's a really popular game. o_o

Ah-HA. BINGO!!! I need to start looking for that then. For some really stupid reason, it never occured to me to look for a fantranslated emulation (I'm socially deprived and technologically challenged, what can I say). But that's perfect. Just thought I'd flip you the heads up - Play-Asia is having a sale on their LE Apocripha/0 for PS2 (although the regular edition is still cheaper by $15.00 at US$ 64.90... which is still pretty expensive ^^; ).

I dunno if you want it or not since it requires either a Japanese PS2 or a modded one, but I'd buy it anyway because there's no way I wouldn't get a PS3, and that's not going to be region-encoded. :B

Apocripha/0 AND Angel's Feather, all on the same link! :sparklysparkly: If only I wasn't completely broke (and in debt to my parents...that's when you know life hates you) I would order it in a nanosecond. I'm pretty sure Kuro no Zanei is the sequel. I'd play it, but I haven't even finished the first game yet. XD I should reinstall it but, on a 10gb comp, a whole free gig is hard to come by. D:
