I don't like it much.
So far, games are trying to hard for realism (King Kong, whatever war game was released for it), as opposed to some awesome games for Xbox (Spartan Total Warrior) _________________

Alot of people I've talked to said they don't have any interest in it.
I personally not interested in it because all I've really heard about it is bad things. Plus not that many games that interest me, no point buying a console for only 1 or 2 games and thats it. _________________ http://www.fanart-central.net/profile-Kes.php- Profile.

I was planning on buying one but ever since I've heard of the glitches and problems it has I changed my mined. Besides some of the games are like sixty dollars; expensive. And some of the games don't look too interesting either except for one or two. |

I myself was lucky enough to know someone that pre-ordered the 360 before August last year, so, when it came down to a first-served first-shipped thing he was able to get his launch day. So far neither of us has been disappointed in the purchase.
Me and my friend were fans of the first Xbox and we're crossing our fingers for the next. I , since Christmas two years back, have been an owner of the Xbox and have come to know it rather well. Comparing the 360 to the original Xbox, the two are quite different. For one. The 360's graphics are even better than the Xbox. The animation and speed of the games are great. And in my opinion the look of the 360 is beautiful and not to mention it's lighter than the Xbox. The main white of the console(sp?) and controller with the gently placed light green of the power button is nice on the eyes (the choice of color in the original Xbox was actually one thing I found hard to like. I mean, I love the green but the dark black wasn't my fav.). The addition of the face plates was a great idea and allows each person to customize the outer look for their stystem. The wireless cotroller is by far my favorite controller yet! At first it's hard to get used to, what with the cord not being there to screw you up, but after a few minuets of play time I got used to it ( though warning to those who are used to the original Xbox controller. It took me some time to warm up to the bumpers that take the place of the black and white buttons.). Being able to just click the center X on the controller and bring up the main menu and play your own saved music list (which you can do for any game), check your gamer score, change the background picture for the menu ( if you have a picture saved to a disc you can put it in the 360 and load up your own personal wallpaper), or change your profile info is an ease.
The list of games, though somewhat small at the moment, will keep you entertained. The gamer score is a wonderful feature and is almost a game itself. It brings replay value to every game I've played on the stystem so far. Also, the quality of the games out now are pretty good. More games are in the works so we won't have long to wait for more. And one of the biggest changes from the first Xbox is the Japan support. With almost every developer in Japan having games in the works for the stystem it will be quite a different story from before. Besides each stystem to date has had a limited launch list. We just have to be patient and give it time.
I was planning on buying one but ever since I've heard of the glitches and problems it has I changed my mined.
I have yet to see any bugs or glitches with the stystem. And, as with any new technology, there will be some problems. Of course if your an idoit and place the stystem in a very tight space where there is no room for it to breath, like any stystem, or try to move while your playing of course your going to have a problem! I'm sorry but those stupid rumors really piss me off to no end! If people would just use their God given brain things might work.
whatever war game was released for it
I think you are speaking of Call Of Duty 2, Tyler.
Oh, and on another note. Most new games these days cost fifty to sixty dollars. The 360's games at an everyday store ( Walmart, Best Buy ect.) cost just the same as the new ones for PS2 and the original Xbox.
Anyways, Clare I hope I was able to help you out in some way and give you the information you were needing. I am very pleased with what Microsoft has given us! To those who go in thinking the 360 will simply be the next version of the Xbox they, in my mind, will be missing the true heart of the stystem. The 360 carries the Xbox name but it is it's own, not another Vol.2. They have had a good start and I hope it will continue. |

Call Of Duty 2 I think is the same with just better graphics...Brothers In Arms:Earned In Blood 4 the Xbox would be something that i find too realistic.

As said earlier in this AND another thread....
Xbox 360's are prone to turning off if you either:
A ) Are a f**king retard and close it all up from ANY air
B ) Have bad luck with the hard drive
C ) You smash it to pieces from being retarded enough for not expecting any problems with a first generation console.
As for people saying they aren't for it. People weren't for the original Xbox either, and that ended up being the top in sales of the 3. I think some people might have found something out?
As for games...
IT JUST CAME OUT! How many f**king games you want out for it? It's not for little GayCube players, it's for the more mature gamers who tend to LIKE THOSE SHOOTERS. They put out their launching games depending on what people buy the most. If you dont like shooters I would suggest getting Kameo. It is a wonderful game that can also be challenging.

Again, it has not had time to develop EVERY genre of gaming yet. It will eventually produce the games you like. Besides, buying it later will give you a discounted price and since it will be later you will be much less prone to any "glitches" the first systems apparently have been having. (mine has been perfectly fine....)

The original XBOX failed in that aspect as well. _________________ |

Beacause, a mature warning makes you a mature and respectable adult, amirite?
..
All of the fun games are rated E-T, anyway. :\ Mature Titles are usually overrated by you "respectable adults". ^_^ _________________ |

Haha, I only meant more mature as in older. I know I'm not very mature at all, and it obviously shows. Only as in ratings, not actual maturity. Hell, I believe there are more 13 year old kids playing Halo 2 on Xbox Live than people my age...
That and I just don't like GameCube. The only game I've ever enjoyed enough to want to buy a GameCube was Super Smash Bros. Melee. Any other game I've played for it just.....doesn't work for me...
I actually agree on that though. The best games generally are rated E-T. Usually Mature titles are just gore and nothing else or too sexual for the little kiddies.
Anyway, I still stand by my high opinion of the Xbox 360. It works perfectly fine for me and I enjoy playing my Call of Duty 2 and Kameo. ^_^ |
