General Suggestion For The Aaa

People tend to forget the name of the artist they are suspecting when pictures turn up proving that they stole the picture.

I remember when Fallen was guessing the name of cities I was posting, she got one of them right without guessing because she could read the original name for the picture instead of random number given to attached pictures like most of us see. I suspect only the forum admins can determine the original name for all posted attached pictures...

So for the AAA, I think there should be a set of extra rules where the accuser must save the non-thumbnail suspected picture, it will automatically give it the name 385930.jpg or something, corresponding to the picture number in FAC. and without changing the name, ATTACH the picture to the thread. (since direct linking show the picture#) So when it is found that the picture is stolen, a mod can easily track down the number for the picture and the person in that fashion. So no one has to keep remembering the ID of the person until there is a resolution.


Actually, I think Layz already do that. :wacko: But making it a rule would make AAA bit easier to run.

Sounds fair enough to me. When you attach an image to your post, the file is given a numeric ID (example: "post-##-#######.jpg") for its filename, while the original filename is stored in the forum's internal database for later reference if the poster (or a moderator) edits the post, in which case the original filename is displayed on the attachment pane.

To everyone else, the original filename is not known.
