Good Sonic Fanart

So I've been lurking around the Artist Abuse section of this forum lately and all I've gotten from it was this:

1. Sonic fanart seems to be the subject that is copied from most (or is just more obvious to catch than others)
2. Sonic fanart in FAC is in general not very good

While I am not a fan of Sonic in any way, I am now curious to see if the Sonic section has any hope whatsoever. So I'm going to find some Sonic fanart that I think actually took some skill and originality. I want you people to do the same. Lets see if FAC's Sonic section is as hopeless as it seems.

sonic fanart is one of those places forbiden if you are looking for good draws... and don't leave a constructive comment, they are like a sect and will fall over you... xD
anyways this sems to be fun, so i will go to look too... >.>

I've seen decent Sonic fanart-- None of it is of the recent games, though. Of course, the franchise is constantly raping itself by having style changes after each game.

I'm on the approval panel so I've seen quite a bit of art. Good sonic art is a rarity but I have seen it. I'll try digging >.>

This artist looks talented. I mean, if you look past the Mary Sue theme, its a very well done pic. :)

I don't know if I should leave the artist's name here or not. Uneasy

That artist with that Shadow and Fancharacter pic is my friend. She draws well. So good. I draw Sonic art, but Im not a huge fan anymore, I just got nothing else to draw.

EDIT: The artists name is Sweet_Sonic_Hedgehog. Its ok to put it up, it is an artist of FAC. Wink

She has 2 accounts though, Cutesonic and Sweet_Sonic_Hedgehog.

Oh my friggin love of the muffins, I hate sonic fanart. I agree i rarely see any good come from that sonic catogory. I think they should hold tighter restrictions just on that catogory.

I don't really have anyone that I can show that has actually good sonic art, because like I said, I think most of it's junk and I don't feel like going knee deep in Fancharacter + Sonic or whatever. :3

I think the pics posted here are the best sonic fan art I've ever seen. It's a shame that most of said fanart doesn't do the characters justice.

I'll admit, I'm having a lot of trouble finding good Sonic fanart. This is like my third day of scanning the Sonic section (which by the way, is huge. I don't get it. Is the show really that popular?) and this was the best I could find.

I'm almost driven to make some good Sonic fanart just for the sake of keeping that section with some sort of credibility.

It's not on FAC, but it's good. (And considering the artist, it should be. Keep in mind it's his older work.)
