hmm....I swear there needs to be a theatre section on here...anyways,just curious of how many other people out there really have a fav song from either a musical or a Broadway show (they are quite similier, yes?) And if ya post, please leave the name of the musical too! I have way too many faves, so I'll just name a few Phantom of the Opera (now Broadway's longest running musical! YATTA!!!)- The Phantom of the Opera, Music of the Night, Masquerade, and The Point of No Return. And from Cats- Rum Tum Tugger, Mr. Mistoffelees, Macavity, and Memory (even though it's overplayed). And for the last 2 shows "Human Again" from Beauty and the Beast and "One More Day"/"Do You Hear the People Sing?"/"Red and Black"/" Master of the House" from Les Miserables. It doesn't seem like there are many theatre people on here! PROVE ME WRONG!! ^_^

I love 'Shoes on the table' from blood brothers

I went to see Blood Brothers a while ago... I cried... Mind you so did most of the cast... It was very good...

I also like stuff from Phantom of the Opera, Little shop of Horrors, The Rocky Horror Picture show (woo! Laughing ), and stuff like that...

Does anyone here like Gilbert and Sullivan? They're just awesome... Pirates of Penzance is so funny... I love the song 'With Catlike Tread'!

hey Diana_spacey_666! I've seen Pirates of Penzance! I love the Paradox song and the one right after it I think...(the one where they sing without really taking many breathes!) and the one with the general guy or whatever (ok, I don't remember names, since I haven't seen it in forever!)

I absolutely love every song from "the color purple." and Sweet Transvestite, definitely. Most songs from the Phantom of the Opera were good as well.

Although it was from a movie and notand actual Broadway production, there was a Broadway style number in History Of The World Part I called The (Spanish) Inquisition. Was great!
