Is there any major difference between CS and 7.0? Because actually I have the 7.0 version but I may be getting the CS, Is it really worth it to switch to the new version? And no, its not money-wise problem.... Should I switch? _________________

If you're just drawing with it, photoshop 7 is more than enough. _________________ "Sarah's future makes me sad." - Benk |

Photoshop CS comes with:
-The filter-preview menue. If you want to use a filter on a picture or a marked area, PS7 shows a little menue with a small preview window, PS CS opens a own big preview station window, were you can browse through the main filters, seeing your complete picture, loading with the different effects, and you can already use filters on filters there in one step.
- The Layer system, in PS CS it is now possible to make layer folders in already existing layer folders, meanwhile PS 7 only allowed one layer folder and not one more folder inside this one.
-Generally more brushes and more brush-functions and options (intersting if you often make brushes yourself)
There is even more, I just need to check it. But if you are thinking about getting CS.. why not getting CS2? It has a lot more features and this time useful filters! (filters which doesn't look like filters..) it also has a very useful transform mode where you can even overwork the perspective of a picture without distorting it. etc.
If you generally don't use many functions, layer and layerstyle stuff and generally use it for coloring painting, PS 7 is still one of the best versions. _________________ - hmm... did someone say "MUFFIN"? - |

Get a wacomtablet if you dont already have it, and photoshop CS. Theres so much more to the brusches in PS CS that you feel handicapped going back to 7.0 after learning CS. |
