Well, she does make delicious cakes...

What I'd like to see is a game where Bowser kidnaps Princess Daisy and Peach, offended of being overlooked, goes off to kick Bowser's butt and save the damsel in distress. Hum... Think she'd get a kiss wth her "thank you"? W00t!

Anyway, Mario is as fresh as ever. No other character has been this versatile over a span of 20 years and managed to retain the original "feel" of the first game, so to speak. Plus, Luigi kicks butt, so Mario gets freshness points simply for being in his general vicinity. Go Luigi Go!

Voted 'almost over the hill.

He has dominated the game market lately, especially with the release of the DS (Mariokart, and super mario 64 DS) he really is still going.

But honestly, that storyline still gets me. Simple but increidbly boring after about a month of play. You've discovered all the paintings, but the objectives are just stupid.

But he does still retain the fresh feel, with graphics and stuff. I'm mixed really. ^_^

Well Mario is getting old but with every game, admit it: he gets better. The graphics get better, the storyline gets more depth. He's as fresh as he was way back when, as Jumpman.

Mario is getting old.He is middle age i think.Perhaps he needs a successor, maybe an offspring to carry his legacy,a son or a daughter maybe?Oh what the heck am i saying, they are cartoon characters, they will never die nor age even if their creators are long gone.Mario is never getting old but his legacy will lived on forever just like Pong.

I think he's still as fresh as ever. The Paper Mario games really get me hooked. Plus, he's Nintendo's mascot. I'm sure they'll find ways to add a new flare to his games. And with the Revolution coming, I'm sure he'll be able to come out really fresh. ^_^
I think no one will want to touch that new system. From what I heard the controls will really suck and after all the crap Nintendo has brought out already I doubt anyone will want to bother.
"That's what I've heard" or "that's what I think"? Because all the articles I've read say the controllers are surprisingly easy to use and feel natural within a few minutes. All the opinions I've seen expressed by those who had actually tried it went from "ok" to "awesome".
I miss that good old days of N64 where Nintendo didn't suck so much. Their games were a pleasure to play. Now it's just the dedicated fans that stay.
Funny. A few years ago, it was "I miss the good old days of SNES where Nintendo didn't suck so much, etc".

I'm not a big fan of the sidish games. The last real game I liked of Mario was Mario Sunshine. If they made more ones like it I'd buy.
The Peach thing is getting old.

Mario is old, he has gone through all the systems, and the game is always about the same stuff. It's nintendo's fault that they are losing the public and their fans, they try to put mario in every single game, next we will get mario dressed in green with a triforce on his hat instead of the M and call it: The Legend Of Mario, rescuing princess Zelda, and its just another princess added to the mix. Mario made Nintendo die and its Nintendo's fault not to notice it.

Hoping that mario dies before revolution comes out..... really

The point is that some people just dont think mario is what he used to be. But come on! I mean, look at Tetris! its older than mario and still has people hooked. Its even in the Genisn book of world records for being the most expanded on game EVER W00t!

You know... I don't know what to think about Mario, but I do think that he overshadowed Nintendo's real mascot... DK

There hasn't been a decent Donkey Kong game since DK64, and why? Because they have to do all this bongo and party crap to try to catch up to Mario!

I want to go back to the good old days, and kill Klaptraps just to hear them yelp... Razz

Mario in himself, is old. Now look at his brothers.

Wario is, well, i'm no wario fan, but hes still interesting.

But I think its Luig nad Yoshi who carry Mario these days. I mean, an adorable little lizard/dinosaur thingy and a faster and ghostly brother. If Mario has a future, its coaching Luigi, and Yoshi, into mario-dom.
