Even here, Otis College of Art and Design, where nothing is separated by "art" or "design" (ie Comm. Arts still take fine art classes, fine arts still take design classes, because they all overlap), there's really very very few classes that include digital painting. There just isn't as much use for it commercially, which is what college is for.
We have seminars with famous digital artists who go over it a bit, and some of the illustration classes include it, but it's not a focus.
But those're two different kinds of digital art. You wouldn't submit a design for a water bottle label to FAC anymore than you'd do a painting in the class where you learn to make labels. So much digital art is just fine art done digitally, so you can't compare the fact there aren't digital classes for it. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C.
