What Inspires You.

i don't know if this is in the right section . . . .

but anyways,

Anything that inspires you before you have the sudden urge to create a fanart/artwork?
me..? I normally begin drawing something when I see someone else' drawing. Especially those people with insanely detailed drawings that make me go [ man i wish i could draw like him/her.

..so..? what about you? WTF?

- finding a person who draws better than me, but younger than me.

- everytime I see that emo DA guy drawing himself in the same emo pose but get zillions of favs and watches from equally emo girls who doesn't know any better, and the girls go off buying his tiny prints for a lot of money just because his talentless characters with the same f**king hairdo don't have their shirts on.

Anyway:

+ Music, particularly sad and minor-key-esque soundtracks. Though I do love my grand and epic sounding soundtracks, like Lord of the Rings (my main music) and Star Wars. Also New Age and Native American music, because I'm cool like that. Josh Groban, Sarah McLachlin, and Yuki Kajiura also win.

+ Just finishing a new manga. While I don't steal ideas (oh, HELL no), I do see images or concepts that inspire me to create something original. Or draw fanart, either way. But I've been focusing on my originals more lately.

+ My friends. My OTP in my original series are of two characters based loosely on my real-life friends, and I'm bent on setting them up as a couple. I'm such a dork. :B

+ Being in school. I hate to say it, but I AM one of those morons who draws in class. I hate the attention; I normally try to hide the stuff, but I'll be honest: I am most inspired when I'm BORED. So I'll draw. In class. D: Fuckdammit, I suck at life.

+ Apple Juice. Is superior. Neutral

Heh... I drew in class all the time, and I was still getting such high grades my teachers didn't even care. I could have art supplies strewn across the whole table during just about any class and the teacher couldn't care less....

For me, just about everything I've ever seen, heard, said or done gets the creative juices flowing. Friends and I bounce around ideas... comics or other people's work makesme want to draw... Just abouot every movie I watch inspires me... And music is a big inspiration. Some songs just trigger the urge to draw certain characters...

My inspirations?

- Crazygonuts. Sometimes an idea just pops into my head and refuses to go away until I draw it out.
- Fantasy. Usually when it's something I like, and I feel I have enough energy to make something of it.
- Fantasy Hitlist. When it's something I DON'T like, and I feel obligated to re-interpret (or "correct") it in my own original fashion.

-Sometimes because of something I said or someone said

Many things can inspise drawing.. About anything that happens can make me think about something yet I often end up being out of ideas.. <_<

We all have our little characters.

Music plays a big part.
Seeing someone better than me. (alot of people) and want to be like them.
Bordom.
The satisfaction of creating something people like to see.

I tend to like to go on quotes or ideas into my head... either ones I make up, or ones from books and somesuch...
Other ideas from people too, yup... But then again, you always want something different, right?

I mostly get inspired to draw when I see really good pictures, music. I also get inspired by the strong will to beat my friends (hehe), sometimes I just see a picture or pose in my head, and then I have the sudden urge to draw it. The list goes on and on. ^_^

my first inspiration in drawing anime style is my friend. Before that I drew many diffrent things, but just because it's fun, never really thought I would be inspired. So I was greatly moved by the details and coloring of my friend's artworks, and decided to learn from that.

Now that I improved, my inspiration mostly come from other artists, music, and qoutes. Though ideas just pop into my head all the time, and I just draw them. Many things in the world inspires me, but my friend whom I look upon play the big part.

-- Like someone said earlier, if someone is a lot better than me (many many peeps) and younger than me. Props to them for what they can do, but it means I need to keep practicing and improving.
-- I saw this on a TV show not long ago and want to try it: Taking pictures of anything you find interesting, and interpreting it into art. Seeing a beautiful arrangement of flowers can give me inspiration for a dress.
-- It sounds stupid, but beauty salons' piles of hairdo books really intrigue me. If I see a 'do I like, I'll have it stuck in my head until I draw it.
-- Music. All genres.
-- No deadlines or schedules to keep up with! If I have to post regularly (like you would for a webcomic, M-W-F) I'd go crazy and give up. I hate thinking, Oh God, this has to be done now, ya know? If there's a lot of pressure, it's no fun anymore, and when it becomes a tedious thing to do, rather than enjoyable, you should stop. Or I do. Props to peeps who can keep up with that.

Movies, Animations in ever way are highly inspiring for me. Also various Video Games, sometimes I have to jump off the couch, meanwhile playing or watching a movie and grab a piece of paper and just sketch something on there, because my mind is exploding! Music is also quite inspiring, though its a bit different there, if I draw something happy and listening to a quite heavy music, like Soundtracks of a sad or thrilling/evil movie it won't work really. Razz

Well..... Probularly when I see good pictures on here.
What also gets me going is when there's a crap drawing but it get's tons of fav's and comments when there is millions better. Makes me want to kick butt.

I'm mostly inspired by funny phrases, events or comics or when I see people who putted good humour in their works which makes me thing "DAMN! Why didn't I think of that!". ^_^

the thing that inspires me the most is beauty, but not like sunsets or horses.. moer like ummm hot chicks. It sucks i know but i draw when i get turned on :(

and then there's
- very detailed realism by another artist. something really good that makes your jaw drop.
- when i am in an unusually good mood.
- you know when look at something and it gives you all kinds of idea's, no matter what it is. Just a little thing that pushes that button that makes you go wild with imagination... that too.

Oh, can't forget the most important thing, when a friend just praises me so much and then requests something. that helps me to draw something awesome for them.
