Only played the second one briefly, but enjoyed what I'd seen of it. Graphics were ace, and had great gameplay. Don't think I'd take any more interest in it though. _________________ "You know what? My squirrel instinct tells me he's even more of a bastard than I first thought." - Gene Hunt |

It's ok however, its extremely overrated.
Way too many fan things celebrating it, but its still a good game. _________________ I speak only at the most opportune of moments. |

Halo! <3
We use to have 15 computers set up at my house and have massive LANs playing Halo and other FPS, but mostly Halo. The campaign was good, but it was all about the LANs for me. :P
Haven't played 2 yet. Refuse to buy an X-box. My PC is so pimplicious anyway that I prefer to buy my games for it rather than console. |

Halo is the best FPS ever! It's a great game and to me it's a classic. Too bad that there aren't many Halo fans on this site. |

Isn't that from VG Cats?
I can support my assumption.
Halo is the best FPS ever! It's a great game and to me it's a classic. Too bad that there aren't many Halo fans on this site.
Halo is too new to be a classic. And, though Halo is undoubtedly one of the best First Person Shooters out there, Halo 2 left me, well, kinda pissed. Their multiplayer is the best thing to hit the internet, but the single player game several major faults. First and foremost, you STOP playing as the big M.C. and start playing as the Arbiter. WHY!?!?! I did not buy this game to be Elite. I bought it be a super human cyborg in all his badassery.
Also, the whole premise is misleading. All of the publicity, and commercials, and previews made us think the whole (or at least a major part of) the game would take place on earth as we fought to defend it. But they spend only TWO LEVELS on earth before changing the game's course entirely.
Another thing that pisses me off: I hate playing as the Arbiter, but he not only gets some of the best levels but also he saves everyone from mass destruction. Why is that??? Master Chief takes a back seat to this silver and purple fucker and angers me all to hell.
One thing I don't mind is the ending. A lot of people didn't like. These people are brainless, inbred cretins. Its called a cliff-hanger, you dumb fucks!!! Ever major trilogy (Star Wars, LOTR, and they did it twice) has had one. Not only did they end Halo 2 on a perfect note, but they totally set it up for the next one, and made you eager to play it.
So, as long as Bugie fixes these little inconveniences (like make the Arbiter an NPC), Halo 3 single player will rock your socks.

Argh,They should have given gamers the choice whom they want to play, this could have upped the main campaign's replay value... |

I definitely recommend the first. I don't have much to say for the second, but the first is great if you're into FPS. I have it for PC and I find it supremely fun to download additional maps online and use those for LANs. ^^; |

halo.... Well, it's just a desent 1st person romp... Good engine, but mostly all done before, minus the vehicle use... That brought out more in it. But all up, the 1st was good, creative story for a re-used topic. Multi was fun... number 2 was not a sequal, it was more like a half assed add-on. they ruined the vehicle use in multi, the fun in the first one was seeing the vehicle fly, but they dont do that in 2...
it will go the way of many 1st person shooters i think, after a disappointing so called 'sequal', and just become an average sequal for sequal ride through the same yet slightly altered story... |

I don't know where you are coming from with this statement. They story took leaps and bounds forward. We are nowhere near where we left off at the end of Halo one. Halo 2's plot not only reveals much of the intent behind the Covenant's crusade but further developes the flood's involvment and entagles both sides in a singular fight for survival. You cannot look at me with a straight face and call that a "tack on".
The story is good, the way they presented it was not. There is a difference.
Halo 2's multiplay is fanominally better than Halo 1. Yes, it is fun as hell to send vehicles flying through the air (which is why me and my friends play "demolition derby" on Halo 1 all the time), but the combat in Halo 2 is more balanced, faster paced, and more enjoyable.
Halo is nothing new in the FPS world, it is simply a game that gets everything right, and does it better than the rest. _________________
