HEY!!!! I'll admit that that was amusing. But BUSH IS NOT A MONKEY!! Sure he made mistakes but doesn't everyone else? I'd like to see you do a better job at being a president!
Come to think about it, he does bear a strong resemblence to monkeys. |

Mindy, may i ask how old you are? How much do you pay attention to the news, politically, nationally, internationally, on all levels?
He's a monkey in appearance, and in mind. And the funny thing is, he has a descent IQ, yet he can't pernounce a damn thing, and he openly admits not reading the paper or watching the news, but intirely depends on a few people to inform him on everything going on in the world.
Have you ever tried passing on some information across a room full of people to one person? If so, you will notice that the story does change slightly from person to person, even with te slightest word, making something more severe, or less than it is.
Bush, is a monkey..... |

aww it's ok mindy! (i talk too much too). heh i disagree with your point of view, but it's alright if you state it. i agree w/ lasher. bush is a monkey in more ways than one.
and bossman, i think the same thing about the convenient timing of bush's reelection campaign. they'll probably capture osama rite before voting time. (eh bush-supporters, don't scold me please- i know he's done the best he can and blah blah blah but anyone who starts a war b/c we need oil is a little messed up). _________________ i fought the war, but the war won |

Given the chance, I wouldn't doubt half of us could do a better job as president. In fact, an actual monkey could probably do a better job. We're at war, the world hates us more than it already did, and the economy's in the toilet. That's one hell of a mistake. What's the last mistake you made that wrecked a country? _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Hey can someone answer a query i had today. Why are the Iowa elections so important? I get Headline news on it in Britain. To be frankly honest this means absolutly nothing to me....whats the big deal? |

umm the iowa caucuses were the start of the presidential election campaign- they're like a way of narrowing down who will be running for president for the democratic party. err i dont think they're really extremely important, since there are still a lot of other states to get to, but i guess they can be considered significant simply b/c they show that the pres. campaign has begun. and since Britain has been working pretty closely w/ the US lately, it kinda makes a difference... lol i could be wrong tho, i'm not exactly an expert on current events! _________________ i fought the war, but the war won |

One more question actually that just sprung to mind:
Do you hear about our Prime Minesters elections over the vast ocean or not? |

The Iowa caucus is important because it's first, and the earlier primaries are generally the most important because they set the tone for the rest of the campaigns. If a certain person wins in the first primaries, other people are more likely to vote for them in later ones because of "momentum" (ie Americans like winners and will vote for who looks like a strong candidate). States keep moving their primaries earlier and earlier in order to be first.
And being the typical self-absorbed US, no, we don't hear about anyone else's elections (unless it's a country we're directly involved with, like Iraq) _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |
