A slightly older movie, but I don't know who here has seen it or not. If you havent, I'm assigning it to you for homework. It is THE BEST movie to ever deal with the subject of racism, because it doesn't just vilify it.

In a typical "racism" movie the white people are racist and mean spirited and the black people are oppressed and downtrodden yet they persevere and all that Hollywood crap. This movie doesn't do that. A white character is racist yet you like him. The motives behind a black character's actions are less than honorable. They hate, yet you can't make up your mind if you should as well.

It won't let you side with anyone. No character is likeable, and not many are truly hated. Every character is racists. You find yourself agreeing with things the most despicable of people are saying, and you find yourself hating the people that any other movie dealing with the subject would try to glorify. The movie makes you uncomfortable, and it does this not because of the acts of hate you see on the screen, but because you can identify and almost sympathize with the motives behind them.

You will feel like a bad person after watching this movie. I love it.

Isn't this the film where the guy has to bite the kerb before the other guy kicks him in the back of the head?
