the dog has one of those cool rubber chickens!! I want one of them... other than that, that is a cool dog. Im a cat person personally. They seem so much more independant than dogs... and they're snobs. haha... I love their vanity. Dogs are far to... loyal and dependant I think, and yeah... definately prefer cats. I like dogs... we got a big black labrador x dalmation. He's absolutely huge. 6 months and he's about hmmn... 1 metre tall... damned abnormal dog... eats like a whale. but as ive repeatedly said b4, i like cats better...
Cheers,

yay someone else who likes cats. hehe i like them b/c they're snobby, too. but also b/c they're independent (as you said) and are just so much more elegant and graceful than dogs. most dogs like you rite away (which is nice), but for cats you have to work for their affection, which makes the relationship more meaningful, i guess. ummm yea. (and whoa that is a rather large dog! scooby doo wannabe?)
very cute dog, boss man! hehe i have a rubber chicken that lets out this really freaky, hi-pitched scream when you squeeze it. we used to play catch with it and scare anyone passing by.
whoa much spazzing out over my name there, wolf! just alex will do, thanks! (or bamf if thats easier) _________________ i fought the war, but the war won |

I don't like dogs that like people straight away. It depends on the dog, and how they are raised and trained. My dogs were always very independent, the only time they depended on us was if we didn't let them out to go to the bathroom, and as long as the main door was open, they would open the screen door themselves.
My dog Kahn in England (i lived there for 5 yrs) would open the front gate to the garden and just strut down the sidewalk up to the old ladies he knew would hand him treats, and trot right back and come in and nudge the gate shut, of course my mom always caught him once he got down the street to one of the ladies, or was coming back in the gate. And when we didn't get home one night as we planned, he decided to pull open the cabinet his dog food cans were in, and rush the can with his jaw so tight it actually popped open needles to say, i guess he didn't like the idea of having dinner an hour or two later. <_<
All my dogs have been pure breed German Shepards, one of which was from a national award winning dog in the shows. We've always picked our dogs by going in where the liter is kept together, and sit down and walk around to see how the dogs react. The ones that come up to you, and don't bite aggressively, are the first of the group to pick from of course, and the rest is a little more of a gut feeling, which me and mom have a good one when it comes to our dogs.
And none of our dogs have warmed up to a person quickly. Whenever a friend came over, i remember my second dog Patra barking, woofing when i told her to be quiet and walking away watching the person or persons. She would never attack, but she would never go up to them and keep her distance and jsut watch. She would do this for a long time until she got to know them, and only if we allowed her or showed her that they were okay. I would always do that by hugging the person and patting them on the back and telling her it was okay and be quiet in a calm and nice voice. Over time, she and the other dogs we had would learn who was allowed and who wasn't. And if they ever got close, they woudln't be all over them, they would greet them, then go about there business, or just perhaps wait for them to toss a tenis ball as they would anyone else.
I don't like clingy animals, but i like pets that obey my commands and listen to me. And one things i liked about my dogs is that they did that, and that they never left my side if i was sick, and were protective and much more capable of defending me or anyone else and our home if it was needed. I've even had my dogs take care of the cats for me when i was busy and they were fighting, not playing, but fighting or getting into things. All i'd have to do is tell them to go get whoever the cat was and they go to them and push them away and hold them down and play with them, sleep, clean etc. They've even protected our cats from rather large strange male cats when my one cats was to much a pussy cat to fight for himself, and my mothers was a sult in heat all the time. Funniest thing i nthe world is seeing a large, orange tom cat fall off a 6 ft fence when it was falling asleep, lost his balance, and happened to fall right on to Kahn, my 130 pound German shepard who fell asleep against the house and where the fence met it. I've never seen a cat jump so high, just as soon as it touched Kahn's fur. And I almost had to go after him when he nearly jumped the 6ft fence at hte back of the yard and over the 8ft hedge behind it. T_T That memory always makes me laugh.
And they're good with children. Our first of our german shepards, baron, the puppy from the champion winner, would act just like his breed was meant to, to herd. Me T_T when i was three and would get to close to the edge of the hill at the front of our yard and walk me back to the porch, and he was the very reason my mother never had to worry about any getting close to me. Only people he would let near the steps of property, we're our neighbors and he wasn't overly friendly of them, and the mail man who he still didn't trust all that much. And he also kept a drunken @$$ from across the street from getting into our house at the wee hours of the night near x-mas when i was little, he even took a blow to the with a metal shovel and a cracked skull and he didn't flench the whole time while my mom came out and told the guy to get his @$$ back home, he never let that man place a foot on the steps leading up the hill the whole time. I'll stick with dogs. Don't get me wrong, i have my own cat, infact, he's laying on my bed right now curled up and sleeping, love him to death. But i've told my mom he's a dog trapped in a cats body. He acts like one almost. *Shrugs*
What i wouldn't give to get my Kahn back for x-mas, that would be the best present in the world, but i know ti will never happen. Just hope whoever has him now is taking care of him or i swear the day the i day i will haunt them to hell <_< That's my puppy still, no matter who has him or if's he's eight and getting old. Damn people better take care of him, i hope he bites them i nteh @$$ if they don't. |

I like dogs. But my dog is kinda... hmmn. overly trusting? B4 we got our gate, this lady was jogging past n she smiled at the dog... so he tried following her. Mom chased him down the street.
And Dogs seem to like me. Well, dogs in my neighbourhood. I remember virtually everyday I would b followed home by a dog. And I didnt have a scrap of food on me. I remeber I was followed home by a saint bernard dog... it was so big. n looked all dopey.
Lasher, u seem to have smart dogs. My dog was walking up the back stairs the other day, n it dropped it's bone under the stairs. It just stood there, looking at where it's bone had fallen... he looked so sad. He was there for a good 20mins just stareing. But alas, he is only a puppy n is still learning.
My cats seem to have the amazing ability to get in n out of the house when were not home n everything is locked. But I wouldnt b surprised if there was some mysterious secret passage thru the house. Cheers n Merry Christmas All,

Yeah, we've always had smart and wise acting dogs. Kahn stayed a bit like a puppy though as he grew up, he was smart as hell, but the few times he made it upstairs and on my bed, he'd go insane (wasn't allowed in cause he was so big, england has small houses, and it rans like s**t in england and the wallpaper i nthe hallway was a white/cream color, so mud would have shown up rather easily, lol) and my stepdads mum was watching the house for us when we were gone for a weekend, left the kitchen door to the back garden that was gated off open for Kahn to come in and lay down, since it was tile and the floor was easy to clean we let him in there alot, but she didn't shut the kitchen door to the hallway, or the living room which he found.
We came home a few hours after she fed him that night to find the candles o nteh fire place eaten, half a dictionary eaten, cds half eaten (yes he actually ate all this) and a large circle of fur on the nice blue carpet we had and up the side of the cream colored couch were he laid that whole time. Mom was furious, and as soon as we came into the house he ran into the kitchen to play good boy, lol. And as soon as mom yelled "KAHN!" he got upt and ran out into the garden, half looking back with ears down and his large tail inbetween his legs, and he hid in this huge doghouse we had to make for his big @$$. The other openings were to small, he was 130 pounds and stood about 6ft on his hind legs.....
mom had to crawl and literaly pull him out when he wouldn't budge to scold him before putting his chain on and looking hte side door to the garage so he didn't go in there, like he was allowed as well to get out of the ran, beside his house. lol. not on his best moments. but he was real smart, but like i said, his puppy side didn't grow out of him.
if you all like cats so much, you should go to my home website, we have a gallery of the cats from england we had before moving, in which we had to give them up *sniffle* and the cats we have now, including some festive stuff we made my cat simon pose for, he's good at that and he does it automatically, although he hates it. lol. yeah.
www.lasher.org/gallery
anyhow.
opened my presents, they were all good.
I got FFX-@
Castlevania, Lament of Innocence
Scanner (i can put my artwork up now!...if i feel like putting the scanner up that is)
ray ban sunglasses, love my sunglasses and i'm picky, and i'm always stealing my stepdad's from him when i'm driving, and i sensitive eyes anyhow so i tend to go for sunglasses. gotta love em.
Three new canvases
gift certificate to bath and body works $35
and some money out into my bank account to i can get some much needed new jeans and such when i feel like ordering them.
i took the liberty of ordering my a FFx-2 stragey guide, limited edition, good for sitting down and drawing pictures and skimming through it for tips. Also got a new FFX one since my stepdad's cat ally tore it appart fighting on it with the other cat cleo. *Sigh*
So x-mas is going good so far. Besides the facti woke up at 4 or 5am this morning with an hour long nose bleed that was so bad, the blood was actually coming down my sinuses and the back of my throat as if i was drinking it. man that tickled and i coughed so bad, the bathroom looked like that scene from Stephen Kings It movie with all the blood. <_< it's hard to keep the tissue over the nose when theres that much blod, your dizzy and almost falling over, and having a coughing fit as well as having the blood come down in your mouth and your throat, had a nice time cleaning that mess up. god damn, two nose bleeds in one year, for the very first time at 17....and each time i've been sick and had a really bad headache...hmm...maybe i should ask my doctor about that.....
I find it hard to believe everyone has a nose bleed like that, knowing my luck i'll find out i have a brain tumor in a few months or something, oh boy...lol.......
i need to go brush my teeth again, i cant' get the taste out of my mouth and it 12 now....that's just nasty...
But yeah, merry christmas all... |

Well, I had a wonderful christmas. I was bedridden and whenever i went outta bed, as soon as I got back in I was asleep again. I didnt get anything for christmas, and we didnt even have a christmas tree. But I dont mind, we haven't had a tree for a while. All my presents are gonna be given to me in January. My sister n her fiance are down the coast in Melbourne? Sydney? Somewhere, they'll give me my presents one day. And my Tablet and software have been delayed til January aswell. Damnit. Oh well...
I'm going to start a poll, what do you like more "cats or dogs" then we wont have to go off track in the wrong thread. Cheers,
-Lucien |
