Best Video Hero

has to be link. he's the only person that i could think of telling a story about to children who are not fortunate enough to even know who he is.

You know go to some place where car's are thought to be evil like in africa or something go to a tribe and tell of stories like link to them.

The kiddies would love to hear of a hero like link....don't you think.... Wink

My first choice will always be Tidus from FFX, but since he wasn't on the list I settled for Sly. ^_^

None of these choices are the best video game hero. If I had to choose one, it would be the namless marnine from Doom. He, single-handedly, changed how videogames are played, looked at, hell, even put into concept. You should all be thanking him the next time you sit down to play Ocarana of Time, Metroid Prime, Mario 64, or any other countless number of games.

P.S. Arguably, the soldier from Castle Wolfinstien would be the [i]first [/i]first, but Doom is what really took hold and ran with it.

It took me about ten minutes to defeat Giga Bowser, Ganondorf, and Mewtwo from Super Smash Brothers Melee using Peach.
How long did it take my brother to defeat those characters using Yoshi? Two minutes.
I like to obsess over stuff. Here are all the things I'm obsessing over:

Robin Hood and Sly are different, though. Robin Hood stole from the rich and gave to the poor. It was for a good cause. Sly, however, just plain stole. Not that Sly isn't cool, but I wouldn't consider him a "hero." . . . .

And I agree with you about Link. Quiet pointy-eared men who wear tunics are sexy! :wub: Very Happy

I've never played Sly either, actually (I don't have a PS2.) I just know a lot about video games, even ones I haven't played. I'm a hardcore gamer. Razz

Something interesting about the Sly series is that the third one will apparently use 3D glasses for some of the events in the game. I wonder how that'll work out. Laughing

I don't have a PS2 either. So, I feel your pain. My friend's older brother's friend has one though. My family has a Gamecube that doesn't work. We have to get a new one, but we have to wait until Christmas.

I chose Link, cuz he's cool. And he's got so many different forms. And he doesn't really talk does he? Strange, but that gives us the chance to imagine a sexy voice for him!

Not Sonic, because, all though I like to watch the show and play the video games, he's just too flat for me. He's got a personality, but no real emotion. And he's mean to Amy!

It'd go like this for me:
Link, Mario (italian accent! so awesome. And he can shoot fireballs out of his hands. And has a cape. ANd turns into a doctor and a baby.), then Sonic, Sly, Samus, Spyro, Crash, and Rayman. I've never played Rayman, but I have played some of Samus's, Spyro's, and Crash's. They're pretty good.
