We must excorcise that evil Barney corruption out! Out, out I say!
Yeah, Barney just does not have any values. It is dull, unoriginal and dependant. The children don't have any particular mindset--they're always happy, all the time. It appears that any emotion besides happiness is frowned upon. This is beginning to sound strangely of Communism.
Now, a great PBS show is Arthur. I used to (still do) watch that show all the time. I mean, the kids have personalities, they have struggles, they have evil little siblings. I like Arthur. I think it teaches good stuff. Though I do wish they would eventually graduate out of the 3rd (?) grade... _________________ What does it all MEAN? |

Nice rant, Lindsay. XD I wish I had never heard of Barney. But that's not my only problem. Now they've got....DORA!!! *sobs hysterically* I hate getting sick on weekdays now! I like being able to sleep and watch TV all day (though the whole puking thing is a bit of a drawback. e.e) but when I'm flipping through the channels with a queasy belly, Dora just makes me wanna...Well, it's a messy situation. And don't get me started on that Go Diego Go s**t. e.e
Mairi, you're avatar strangely looks like my Algebra teacher, Mrs. Barron. o.O |

Actually, I think compared to Barney, Dora the Explorer is not really the bad. Sure, the idea of "interact to your t.v. with a 'computer'" is a little unentergetic, but it has better intentions than Barney. Damn that Fox! Damn him straight to hell. I'm trying to think of any recent good little kid shows and nothing is coming to mind, except:
SPONGEBOB!!! Call me an idiot, freak, whatever, but I like Spongebob. I think Patrick is cool 'cuz he's stupid like my brother. I mean, the characters deal w/ situations, they're not all the same, and they're not all nice. It's not like Blues Clues or something where nearby salt-shakers randomly talk to you and the dog is out for souls. _________________ What does it all MEAN? |

Spongebob is one of the most classic shows on Nickelodeon and it still airs.
The one where they painted Mr. Krabb's house was hilarious. _________________ I speak only at the most opportune of moments. |

Dora scares children like me.
Barney scares everyone.
Teletubbies is the reason so many people take crack.
Blues Clues gave me nightmares once. That damn pawprint!!
Spongebob me likey. XD
Pokemon me likey. But only the old eppies. The new ones are creepish...And they took off Misty! TToTT It seems weird to have to have a little boy drag Brock off-screen by his ear rather than a teen girl. I mean, then it could have been jealousy or embarassment, but with a ten year old boy? o.O Just another example of how my sick little mind works. |

It's all about Gary. Gary rules. Anything that is even somewhat gelatinous wins my heart. haha.
I love snails, slugs, gelatinous blobs, etc. >.>
And don't be so harsh to Blues Clues. It's great for days when you're sick and can't comprehend anything and the only other thing on is "The View". Bunch of ugly ladies talking about things I don't care about... no thanks. >.> |

The View is pretty eye burning, isn't it? Bunch of fat, wrinkley old women gossping randomly and trying to give out beauty tips that they should heed themselves.
Sorry, but I never liked Blues Clues. It sends bad messages. Talk to inanimate objects, because chances are, they'll talk back. But Spongebob is great. Heheh...go Patrick! _________________ What does it all MEAN? |

Gary is actually an intelligent and supernatural creature.
Suspicion was aroused when I watched that dream episode.
Spongebob could enter the dreams of everyone.
Patrick's dream was him riding on an endless ride of doom.
You know, those 25 cent thingies. _________________ I speak only at the most opportune of moments. |

Duh, of course Gary was smart. Always was.
What kind of suspicion?
Yes, but the question is, how was he actually able to get out of his dream cloud? I mean, you don't just get knocked out.
It's a dream and a nightmare in one.
Those things are evil... _________________ It took me about ten minutes to defeat Giga Bowser, Ganondorf, and Mewtwo from Super Smash Brothers Melee using Peach.
How long did it take my brother to defeat those characters using Yoshi? Two minutes.

Video Game: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Video Game character: Wolf O-Donnell from Star Fox Assault
OC: Ray Eclrida, copyright of me (duh!)

Considering the host, I'd say it sends bad messages. Wasn't he a crackhead or something?
I talk to inanimate objects all the time. XD
I can't say I've ever had a response.
me: "GOD DAMN DOOR, WHY DIDN'T YOU MOVE BEFORE I WALKED INTO YOU?"
door: "..."

No, the whole crackhead thing was just a rumor...As far as I know...>_>;; That'd be something I see myself doing.
Me: Dammit! STUPID FORK!! Why do you let the noodles of my spaghetti slip off of you and dribble upon my sweatshirt, thus dooming me to a red, splotchy stain?!
Fork: .....
Me: .....><
Fork: .......
Me: ANSWER ME, O MIGHTY UTENSIL OF EATING!!!
Fork: .......
Me:....I GIVE UP!! *starts to get up*
Fork: .....BOO!
Me:....O.O

Me: *screams and runs out of room, crashes into metal pole, gets a concussion, and dies from bruises to my brain...goddamn fork!* |

lol, good to see I'm not the only one basking in this insanity. Your example was more amusing than mine.
I'm pretty sure the Blues Clues crackhead thing was a rumor but it's still fun to spread XD. I actually think he left to persue a music career. I can't imagine picking up the latest album by the Blue's Clues guy. |

That would be very funny. XD Another scenario, between my friend Katie and myself at Media Play.
Me: Hey, Katie, let's go look at CD's! ^_^
Katie: .....
Me: *sigh* *said very unenthusiastically* Maybe we can look for Eminem...e.e
Katie: Yay! ^o^
*Both of us walk over to CD rack. Katie is drooling over Eminem CD. XD*
Me: ....OH MY GOSH!!!
Katie: What? Is it Eminem?!
Me: No! IT'S WORSE!!! *Katie glares at me* IT'S....IT'S....THE BLUES CLUES GUY!!!! TTOTT
*Whole store gasps*
Katie: I know! ....And only 58 cents!!
Me: Katie....
Katie: Yes? ^_^
Me: I believe you're MISSING THE POINT!!! ><
What a fun day that would be. However, the Media Play near us just recently went out of business. v.v That was my manga/anime supplier! It's like a crackhead's drug dealer getting arrested! What will I do?! TToTT |

God help you and Media Play.
I dunno...I think that those computer animated kinda shows were they make kids interact really make kiddies not want to interact. I mean, I've babysat a lot. Those kids don't interact if Blue or his bug-eyed, shifty molester looking owner tell them to. They usually interact when they're not supposed to, rather, on the cues sitting around with this coma look in their eyes. Seasme street is possibly the only show I know that actually keeps kids interested. I believe it's because it's more realistic...in the sense that all the characters, including the muppets, look, well, real. Blues Clues? Nah. Muppets? Hell yez.
Arthur is a good show. I used to like Clifford, but not really anymore. _________________ What does it all MEAN? |

I have always enjoyed The Animaniacs! Pinky and The Brain were the best! My cousin can do the best impersonation of Pinky, they were way better than the sin that is Blues Clues. Or rather any kiddy-show that includes the use of foam and plexy-glass. _________________ Depression is only anger without enthusiasm |

Well, what is up with Burt and Ernie? It wouldn't have been suspicious in the 70's, but now it is obvious that they are a little more than just friends.....sorry, I have a broken mind....tehe....... _________________ Depression is only anger without enthusiasm |

Barney I belive is the image of all evil. The teletubbies are just pawns in the evil tyrant sun's game. The sun tyrant works for Barney who is slowly sucking the minds of childhood happiness to become more powerful for the day he takes over the world. (June 6 2006)
Being a succubus the only way way to stop him is to sing his song backwards. |
