People Who Buy An Album

Whats up with that?

A few weeks ago I was riding with a friend of mine and he went to get his cd case and pulled out the first Gorillaz album, put it the stereo, and immediately went to track five (for those of you who don't know, track five is Clint Eastwood, their first major hit). So we are listening to it and I tell him," hey after this can we go to track two? (The song) 5/4 totally rocks. Its like my favorite song on the album"

And then he tells me "never heard it, I only listen to this one song"

!!!!

WTF? How can someone buy an album and then only listen to the title track? You might as well just buy the single and save yourself the hassle. Anyone else have an experience with people like that. Do you do it yourself?

I can't even use limewire. If I am interested in a song, I gotta get the whole album. I'm weird like that.

Once I hear a couple of the band's songs I will get the CD,then start listening to just those songs and titles of songs that interest me.

Because, kiddies today only listen to what is being brought up to their faces. Most kids only like the big hits and what MTV or where they see the music video. I remember when I was in 6th grade, I got YellowCard: Ocean ave. (They suck I know, but I liek them anyway) I only listened to their one song, Ocean Avenue. But I got bored of it after about 5 times of repeating it over and over on my stereo. I then tried out the other songs and started from the first song to last. I ended up likeing the whole CD. And I still do today, I just like them, they came to my interest.
I don't know how that proves the point other than just listen to mroe of their songs.

Kids are stupid enough to buy the whole CD just for one song, $15.00 for just one song, when you can buy it online for simply 0.99 cents.
But as sson as they buy it, they listen to the hit song that they only know, then they'll just go try out the other songs they have on the CD when they get bored of their first favorite, and end up liking more songs from the artist anyway.
So if you know a person who's had a certain CD from anyone and has only listened to their one hit song for too long, they are pretty stupid.

I haven't gotten a new CD in months so I can't set a good example of buying a CD for all the songs or whatnot. But I want to buy 3 Metallica CDs for most of the songs I know. I'll have to wait a while though, being poor is a pain in the ass.

Agreed, although, most bands are superior to the garbage that is My Chemical Romance.

Why is it so popular to bash My Chemical Romance all of the sudden? Sure they're not the best band in the world, but they're enjoyable to most people.

No, but we say that.

I lost my sympathy for anyone and their taste five minutes after joining the internet revolution. Five years of "Poison/Warrant/Winger/EnuffZ'Nuff/Cinderella/ratt/etc. SUXX!" tends to jade a person.

Unless you're in the band, it ain't nothin' to you, so I expect people who like other shitty bands can suck it up and deal. Or better yet, be intelligent human beings and defend their preferences with some level of support, but none of them can ever do that.

Back on topic, though, stop sniping at each other over MCR. They aren't worth your time.

So! My brother bought a green day CD just for their hit songs, he only listened to them, no other, then he stopped listening to the CD eventually. Nothing against them here, but he did stop listenign to them but it's just a memory that related to this topic. He buys another CD just for one song I'll hurt him in many ways possible xD
