Movie Overview:

"Several 20-somethings (including Reynolds and Faris) work in a chain restaurant called Shenanigan's, and while the place is seen as just a dead-end job by most of them, it at least affords plenty of opportunities to sit around talking about sex and playing food servicerelated practical jokes."

I just saw this movie last week and laughed until my sides hurt...seriously though alot of the antics pulled in this movie were really crude and vulgar, but they could actually happen. For instance if someone didn't wash their hands or something of that sort...especially late night at a restaurant when the closers are getting ready to go home and another fucking annoying customer has come and order something. It's just not smart to piss off a restaurant closer...lord knows what they could do to your food b/c there's really only so much the closing manager can watch for Smile

I  Waiting...all the annoying pain in the ass s**t a restaurant employes has to through serving people is all true...I've done it. I think this movie is a wonderful testament to what working people really have to endure under the tyranny of a controlling and cruel manager who thinks he is the Burger King <_< and what crew members should do to fight back. Laughing

Seriously though, I think the manager in this movie and my manager Ron have to be related...so many similarities couldn't just be coincidence. Smile

That was an entertaining movie merely for the fact it had Dane Cook, Ryan Reynolds, and Anna Faris. I think they're all really entertaining (mainly Dane <3). A lot of the people in the theatre were disgusted by the movie when I saw it and I could hear them all saying how it was the worst movie they'd ever seen. It wasn't the best movie I'd ever seen, but I liked it.

I have completely no sympathy for people who are distgusted w/a movie that they haven't taken the time to check out about before seeing...if you're a person that can get easily offended by obscene gestures like *parents* for example...it's almost highly recommended that they read a review about the movie before they go see it.

My mom's a good example...she asks me what good a movie to watch is and I'll always check out reviews and the content on a movie before I suggest it and try to discourage movies I just know she'll be disgusted w/seeing. Kinda weird me acting a little like a parent, but Mom's usually happy w/what I suggest, but once in a while a bad movie slips through my clutchs and I usually hear about it.

Yeah, when the new crew member finally gets to say what he's had on his mind at the end of the movie it's just too funny...and then he moons everybody to top it all off...he's just the fucking man!

Dane's part is extremely minimal. I want to see Dane as the star of his own movie- not just a lowly small bit. He is a BAMF afterall. Very Happy

Spoilers

Now I think I remember the part that he played in the movie...at the very end, when the new crew member was having his rant about how all of Shenanigan's employes were crazy, then suddenly the NCM stops and points at Dane Cook and says he's the biggest piece of s**t here which is odd b/c he doesn't work there...which that was just a cover for him to moon everybody...good times Laughing

It makes complete sense.

Down Syndrome is a case of high mental retardation, so being the smartest person with downsydrom would still make you quite unintelligent by normal standards. Implying that the coolest person at shennanigins would be a complete tool by normal standards.

WTF? <_< Are you sure haven't put a little too much thought into that rant? It's just a movie quote afterall...it just takes the fun out it when you dissect quotes like that...I was thinking it was funny oxymoron to make the audience laugh. Laughing

I haven't heard of this movie. It sounds a lot like Clerks, though. You know, the first of the Jay and Silent Bob movies.

Sort of similar in premise but very different in execution. Clerks is pretty much in a category by itself though. XD

Well I saw him on a TV interview a few days ago and they were talking about it.
Apparently at one point he sounds like he's saying Lo-lala-yo-uo-go-lka (at least to me) then I think he says sumthin about a buffet as a joke to someone.
But it does look funny. Well it's now out in theaters in the U.S Smile
If only Ron, Bill, and Jeff hade their own movies. Sad
