I'm not sure if anyone else has this problem but don't you hate when a movie made after your favorite anime totaly goes against the books. Bad translations and dumming things done for younger viewers can get on my nerves. After reading the third book in the Vampire Hunter D series and then watching the Vampire Hunter D Blood lust movie it is ovious how different they are. I liked the movie until I read the book. Now I think it stinks.
Does anyone here know movies like that that make you upset or simply disappoint you when they're not what was expected? _________________

YES!! I HATE that! If they're gonna make a movie based on an anime or manga, then do it right. It's not that difficult. |

Sure it's hard, but not that hard. I mean, if they would follow the plot of the orrigional manga or anime, or add more to it without completely overloading.. not very difficult. |

I'm with you dude. Hated that movie. _________________ It took me about ten minutes to defeat Giga Bowser, Ganondorf, and Mewtwo from Super Smash Brothers Melee using Peach.
How long did it take my brother to defeat those characters using Yoshi? Two minutes.
I like to obsess over stuff. Here are all the things I'm obsessing over:
Song: Seize the Day by Default
Anime: D.Gray Man
Anime character(s): Kanda
Video Game: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Video Game character: Wolf O-Donnell from Star Fox Assault
OC: Ray Eclrida, copyright of me (duh!)

Do you think that the animation studios are given endless funds? Of course not. If they were to include every little detail, movies would run up to five or so hours. So they cut scenes. Not pretty, but makes it so the movie
A ) Does not cost enough to run a small country
B ) Is still enjoyable, and has enough plot to understand
C ) Provides enttertainment _________________

Same, I didn't like how the Yu-Gi-Oh! The movie 2004 turned out. It could've been better and even the other movie for Yu-Gi-Oh! was better.
Also weren't fond of the ending of the 2nd movie for CCS. They left it to open and don't nowhere near follow manga. _________________ http://www.fanart-central.net/profile-Kes.php- Profile.

No one could pay me to watch the Yugi-oh movie again. They got me once, they won't get me a second time. _________________

Slightly off-topic, anyone whose read the original Dragon ball books would notice with dragon ball GT, all thats really happened is a full re-colouring and the animation, otherwise everythings the same. The words, the pictures (Just animated ^_^) and the plot.
It too, was originally meant to be a movie, but was changed to a series after they realised how difficult it would be too transfer everything from the DB universe onto the TV screen.
I'm a bit of a DB whore...<_<

I do believe Bloodlust is FAR too recent to have been made before the books. _________________

THe books have been out for a long time. They're already on to the 13th book I think in Japan but the 4th one won't come out in the U.S. until August. And on the back of the third book it does say it inspired the movie so the books had to of come before the movie. _________________

What really bothers me is that ALL of the DBZ movies fit NOWHERE into the storyline of the anime/manga!
I've seen other anime movies that do the same thing, but I can't seem to recall them at the moment... Guess I'm too tired... >>; |

You know what movie bothers me the most though? The FMA movie. It was beautifully done, but there was not nearly enough time for plot or character development. It's like trying to squeeze the whole series into an hour and a half. _________________ "Pregnant?? We Can Help!"
