What!
They seem to be pretty popular right now. My quess is that people automatically separate themselves from what is popular mainstream music or "pop" music. So they can be hip.
Seriously I'm shocked, I didn't think there was anything wrong with The Killers.

Heh, I don't know where this Gn'R thing came from.

Axl may have been the perfect visual male specimen in '89, but their music was far from perfect. Most of what I like technically is pretty terrible, or average at best. It's just that no one knows who Lynch Mob were, so talking about them is pointless.

There's plenty wrong with the Killers. It's not a matter of separating from mainstream to be cool, it's that most mainstream right now is just shit.

For me too. I've grown quite fond of them lately.
