Where do you shop for your Manga books?
Do you buy anime DVDs? If so, Where?
Etc, etc, etc.......
Well, I live in Costa Rica, not too much manga gets here, but there is a japanese stuff store called Avalon in wich I can get some national mangas. Plan9 is a magazine made here on C.R. it contains many series of different mangas, all made here on CR. Although I can never get my hands on the good stuff _________________

There's about 3 bookshops that sell manga here, and they're all in the centre of town. Plus there's Forbidden Planet that deals in a lot of unusual stuff and plenty of manga. If you're looking for anime, you have to hunt around places like HMV and so on. I've never bought anything online, so these shops are really all I look at. _________________ "You know what? This place is about 15 minutes from my house. Anime/Manga/Wallscrolls/figures/pocky etc. They actually offer rentals on the anime as well, so you don't have to buy it if it turns out to be really crappy. It's like NetFlix but anime specific. This is the anime rental site they have.
Aside from that, Barnes and Noble Bookstore has a manga section and that's only about 2 minutes up the road from me. Also, Suncoast movies sells anime/manga/pocky and that's at my local mall - also very close by. |

I was going to suggest amazon.com or ebay.com, but alot of the sellers don't ship to Costa Rica and the one that do charge more for shipping than the item you probably want to buy.
Surely somewhere in Costa Rica there's a B&N or a Borders, right? I just really don't know what to tell you...other than if there really is a series you want to commit to buying that you order from an online store and buy in bulk to save on shipping b/c in your case that's what'll really kill your pocket book when ordering offline.
Also just saying, but while some mangas are still in the process of being serialized in Japan/Asia, there are people on the internet that scan entire manga series like
One Piece
http://groups.msn.com/onepiecemanga
and
Fullmetal Alchemist.
http://groups.msn.com/FullMetalAlchemist/f...emistmanga.msnw
Now I'm sure there are others, but I just haven't found them...I know I'd rather have the book form for reading manga, but when you can't get it by ordering it you work w/what you've got. Hope it helped. ^_^
