I just got the 8-DVD pack of HP, all four movies + special edition. HP4 cut so many things outta the book. Kinda made me mad. HP4 was scary and good.

Agreed, they cut a lot stuff, too much in my opinion... and that's not because I'm a fan. In fact, I haven't read the book. As a result, the fourth film was confusing as hell. It took me 3 viewings and numerous discussions with my wife (who happens to be a fan) before I could make sense of it. That was quite a bummer since all the other movies stood very well on their own. Sad

As an example, in the third movie, many fans were angry they didn't explain who were the real creators of the Marauder's Map. But it wasn't necessary: when I learned about it after viewing the movie, it was funny but it didn't shed some light on a big mystery. In the fourth movie... Unless you've read the book, chances are you will not have the slightest clue on how Barty Crouch Jr escaped from Azkaban, and chances are too that will miss the split second "clues" that are supposed to explain stuff that happened waaaaaaaaay earlier in the movie (why Neville is so distraught by the Crucio display, or why Barty Crouch looks so horrified when confronted by Moody after the second task). All in all, a good movie for fans and a so-so action piece/special effects festival for others, IMHO.

Yeah. Here we have this cheap theatre that plays popular movies for a long time. Admission is like only $2, the theatre itself is smaller than usual ones, but it's really a good deal. The movie will probably play for another week or so. I wanna see it badly in theatres. But no one will come with me. ;___;

I thought it was a pretty good movie, can't remember much of it though. I thought it stuck to the book fairly well considering how big the book was
