Masami Okui - Devotion

The best part about this song is that there's an actual [i]lack[/i] of music for the first two minutes of the song (entire thing is a whopping 7:30! Surprised

), so all you hear is the vocals. Absolutely amazing.

Another thing I like about Japanese music is that almost all the bands/vocalists can sing live without sounding like the utter s**t a lot of the crap NA goes though. They take their music extremely seriously, and it's apparently quite difficult to get a label. :< Nothing at all like the stuff here where they practically give it out to anyone who [i]looks[/i] like they could be the next teeny-bopper idol. Many Japanese artists can play stuff like the piano, too, so you get a lot of nice ballads. :B
