wow....
This movie was absolutely amazing. I didn't know the storyline of it when I went to go see it last night. I only assumed it would be okay since it had a crazy guy in a mask, knives, and explosions. It was actually a lot more storyline that was really amazing. The story really sucked you in so you don't even need mindless bloodshed everywhere.
The music was awesome too.

Well I think it's intreresting. A guy trying to take down an evil government, what's not to like? And the guy has a mask! _________________
Brian Danielson, more importent that any anime or anime character, why? Cause he actually exists. |

Actually it wasn't flashy at all.
The storyline was quite in-depth. It had a lot more talking than anything.
I've learned to never go by commercials. Commercials are crap that make the movie look totally opposite of what it really is. I saw a commercial for V before I went to see it and all I saw was some guy in a mask blowing up s**t and killing people.
That was uber-wrong. |

Yea, I have to say that that was one of the best movies yet. Anyone who thinks a movie is flashy off the bat is pretty thick, for a lot of movies have looked flashy, but aren't. See it for yourself. _________________ I'm a zombie. Yarg.

I went to see it last night and thought it was amazing, probably the one of the best movies I've seen this year. The action/adventure part of the movie is really the least important. It has some very thought-provoking themes akin to "1984". Anyone who knows something about the controversy surrounding this movie would know that it isn't just flashy drivel. Check it out. I highly recommend it. |

Please dont....
The first one was good, but the second two were just that. Flashy and horrible.
V for Vendetta was amazing. I can't even really find the right words to describe it. It had a good use of vocabulary? lol... It was very well thought out and the plot was wonderful. It will change the way you think, hopefully. |

I saw it! It was pretty Effing sweet! Guy Fawkes masks are sexy. I can't hear worth a crap so I couldn't understand a thing that V said (I couldn't read his lips...stupid sexy mask) They should close-caption those things...anyways. Yeah. Amazing. _________________ I have magical female powers

It was amazing. I was grateful that there was not nearly as much violence as the "R" rating had put on. It was intense, incredibly well done, and with acting to Wazoo. Natalie Portman did a great job as Evie, Hugo Weaving was great as "V"--one particular reason being the man had to give emotions and expressions without the fortune of having a face to do so, which impressed me greatly.
The politics involved in this movie were interesting because of their truth. It's so easy to push a people into fear and then control them like puppets--and the reality of that was one of the underlining themes of "V".
The cops--Finch and Detrich, were also well done and even though they're working for a horrible government, you can't help but sympathize with how they're feeling.
A great movie. Don't judge from the trailers, because trailers are overrated. Simply put:

I saw it with my bf last week. I knew it was somewhat like 1984, but it's so much better! The only thing that ruined ir for me was that the first time we really see V and he gives that amazing intro speech, my bf loudly said "I have absolutely no clue what he just said."
It's hardly flashy. Everything said or done in that movie serves some purpose, even the letter he chose had a signifigance. I adored it. It really pulls the viewer into a beautifully portrayed world full of paranoia and opression.
And I really want a Guy Fawkes mask. |

I think it was the first time in a long time I've expected a good movie and actually got a good movie.
That said, it was very... very Matrixy (Maha... Agent Smith flooding the city). I think you just have to accept that it's the style those guys are going to make their movies in. Complaining that V for Vendetta reminds you of the Matrix is like going to see a Tim Burton movie and bitching about there being curlicues and things with black-and-white stripes everywhere.
I've already heard the purists complaing about how it was bad because it didn't follow the comic bang-on, but I personally didn't really enjoy the comic. I thought the art was kind of ugly and the writing wasn't interesting enough for me to get past the first couple pages.
Also, props to an actor who can create such an animated persona without the aid of any facial expressions at all. _________________

Saw it yesterday. I had absolutely no prior knowledge of anything about the movie before I went in - I hadn't seen any of the trailers as I don't watch TV, and I hadn't known it was a comic till I was already in the theatre and "DC Comics" flashed across the screen.
It was pretty damn good. The music was nice and suiting to its situation, and I just WOW'd at the actor who played V - amazing way to voice act! Loved how well he built up the personality just with the voice.
Some parts of the storyline weren't too stunning, and just plain weird to me like the part where what's her face - shoot, I can't even remember her name - got thrown into some random cell in V's place and got her hair shaved and everything. I sortof know what the point of that was, but it doesn't feel like it's a very good point. Or maybe the lack of logic just failed too much for me. Who shaved her hair? Who interrogated her? Who tortured her? And how could V have done all that and she didn't realize, if in the case that it was him who did it? DX Who knows.
But all in all I thought it was a great film. :B Made me wanna check out the comic. _________________

@ Fayore: That was his way of taking away her fear. She had said earlier that she couldn't help even though she wanted to because she was afraid of the consequences, and that she wished she was as fearless as her mother and father. V's the one who did everything to her. She didn't see because for a time she was black-bagged, and then her captor's face was purposefully shadowed. Besides, who would expect that it was V? And then when she'd rather die than give up info, she'd lost her fear.
Whew, sorry if I got long-winded. But it was kinda illogical, I agree. Why would V just have that? I'm sure he didn't make a habit of befriending people and letting them in his home, much less anything that drastic. |
