Is it still posible to (legally) get free music on the Web, or is it all $.99 a song?

Yeah Kazaa is riddled in Spyware, and its not even as good as Limewire

I use bitlord, but it works just for downloading whole albums not so much with singles....
For downloading singles Limewire is the way to go

You can usually download albums with Limewire aswell

Limewire has movies and pics too Very Happy

I find it hard to download the albums with limewire, you would either have to download them as .zips or .rars not being sure what they actually contain. By using bitlord, you can download almost anything without the problem of not knowing, I find it quite easy, although it takes a lot of bandwidth....

Honestly, I've had trouble getting limewire to work at all. It might be because I have dial-up, but the thing takes five minutes to load and freezes/crashes my comp when I try to shut it down. To top it off, NOT ONCE have I EVER found anything on limewire! Every song is mere kb, which when downloaded is absolutely nothing. I'm lucky I haven't got a serious virus yet. I also can't stand limewire's layout.

Okay, I'm done with the limewire-bashing. Personally, I use eMule. It has a pretty good track record for virus-free downloading, the interface is simple, and it actually runs really quickly on my old clunker. It's not real flashy or anything, but it gets the job done.

I use Ares, it works pretty good for me. I've never used Limewire myself, but I've heard that Limewire sucks bad in comparison. You can also download software, documents, videos, pictures, etc. You can get Ares here, if you want it Wink

IMO Ares is way way worse than Limewire,
Limewire has more users = More files
Limewire is faster = Less Time
Ares is full of spyware and virus while Limewire isn't.......

Should I go on?

If Limewire is slow starting or you can't run it probably, it probably means you don't have enough RAM or something
