I've never understood why people get confused at DA. :huh: I've always found it very straightforward and clearly labeled, especially since the redesign. The [i]only[/i] way it's confusing is if you're looking for, say, fanart of a specific character, but it would be impossible to categorize that on a non-fanart site.

And the search works now, good as it ever did, and an advanced google search still works better.

I haven't been to DA to check out its new layout yet so I'll give it a try in good faith of fallens wisdom.

By "redesign" I meant the one a year or two ago when they got rid of the list of categories down the lefthand side that melted into outside sponsor links and articles so it was confusing what was what if you didn't read the titles of the sections. And when it was "indie art" instead of traditional.

But the "new" category and submission system...couldn't get much simpler.

I bet it's because FAC does thing most don't. I love putting up fan art and seeing others. I was wondering how long FAC has been around before I came, must have been a while. I can't imagine this place first starting out.
