I haven't seen that many, but the ones I have seen were actually good. Their animation was well-done and the plot, although not always that great, were pretty good.

Examples:
Digimon (short and no development, yet the animation was superb)
Pokemon (I rather liked the movies Smile)
Naruto (my FAVE! Definitely the best)

I was thinking if I should see that one. So you definately recommend it?

A really good movie was Blood: the Last Vampire, but the series came after the movie, so I guess it doesn't count all that much.
You know what movie bothers me the most though? The FMA movie. It was beautifully done, but there was not nearly enough time for plot or character development. It's like trying to squeeze the whole series into an hour and a half.
I don't think they were trying to work on plot or character development. I think the main thing was to just add closure to the series, which it did beautifully. So I guess it'd be better to just think of it as the last episode rather than a movie.

Yes. Animation: amazing. Plot: good, surprisingly.

They had to of done something to pokemon too. I've never read the orginal story or what ever it came from but did team rocket always have to blast off in the tv shows. For something like that to become a hit how could it be so repetitive in both the shows and movies?

Watching the FMA movie was like watching an extended episode, actually. I liked it! ^_^ Haven't seen the Naruto movie yet . .. T_T Oh, well. But yes, I agree about how movies often suck. The Yu-gi-oh movie kinda did, that's true. But I'm a sucker for Yugi. Razz Love that little midget. XD

Also, I haven't seen it, but I've heard that the X movie gets everything completely wrong. Like, people die in it who don't die in the series, and relationships and stuff are all off, and stuff like that. Like, they kill off Subaru, when he doesn't die too quickly in the series. I dislike that! . . . .;;

As for the Team Rocket thing . . . well, it's still kinda funny. You know it's gonna happen, you just don't know how. That makes it funny. I'm not the Pokemon fanatic I used to be, so I don't really care.

In the original games, Team Rocket appeared at Ghost Tower, then in the Celadon City Game Corner, then at Saffon City (can't remember the name of the building there) then had one last hurrah at Viridian City. So there was a bit of repeptition there, but for the show I guess they were taking every little thing and turning it into a plot device. (But isn't that what filler's all about? ^_^ )
