Image Boards

The Image boards haven't been, (the general one, anyway) working for about a month.

I know that not a lot of people post in them, and I think it's because:

>It is annonymous, it doesn't create a "friendly chat" like environment, I think it scares away little kids.

>You can't attach pictures in replies unlike 4chan and other image boards.

>There are not enough boards, it would be nice if there was 4-chan/wakachan esque board such as General Anime... Cute Anime... Shounen-Ai ... Animated Gifs, [s]/lolita/[/s], [b]Art Critique[/b] and Real People.

I also think having a image board that constantly recycles off its old images is better than having a forum with mililions of pictures attached that has to be pruned now and then. AKA, picture attachment rampage at Random. It's kind of a "We'll let you spam this, don't spam here where it is harder to control" idea. what do you think?

i think yours is a good idea, the actual image board of fac is, to say the least not very user friendly, also why is that chatroom button still in there? *sigh*

on a side note ... [s]/lolita/[/s]... XD... we could have that too...

So we don't have chat, we don't have image boards, so only thing we have is this forum?

the image boards are back up, but only one is being used all the time, the others are literally dead. I blame the board names "Sakuracon" and whatnot.

That looks pretty good. Should be okay as long as we make sure to keep the PG-13 rule mentioned on each board. Not sure how it'll all fit, though, but then again, I know next to nothing about this sort of stuff. ^^;

I think we need to trim the tabs on the main page. Chatroom is no longer being used and soon the image board will be gone. If we can't use them get rid of them.

Chatroom link is gone, I took it down days ago when i added the new sections.

The image board software I'm using predates image replies.

I still think that the board shouldn't be anonymous, I like having a personality that doesn't require me having to write my name everytime I post. Is there a way to tag the membership of the image boards to the mainsite? like you have done with the forum?

The only way that I know of is a tripcode-- But that's really only to confirm your identity as opposed to making it permanent..hmm. I believe plain-text bbs have the username thing as well as an avatar option, but not an image attachment.

Of course, Imageboards as you know were made to be anonymous, so..

Sorry, I didn't make myself very clear. I'm not opposed to the idea, I just don't know how. Tripcodes are different considering you'll still be "Inconvenienced" by the name entering process, but it does provide some form of..chat-type enviroment with a confirmed name (Unless someone Brute-Forces your tripcode; but that's an easily preventable situation and doesn't need to be discussed at the moment).
