I personaly hate all the Gaara fangirls because they ruined the character for me. I thought he was a cool character until some twits in my neighborhood became obbsessed with him. Now I can't stand Gaara.

Currently I'm one of 3 Ginko fanboys in the world, let's see how bad the series can be raped when it comes out to the state, which I don't think will be happening.

^ GINKO PORN PLZ.

Ginko doesn't seem like a "Swinger" type, he seems more asexual if anything (The only possible pairing I could pick out of the series with this in mind is Nui-- Hmm..Shota. :0)Though, assuming the reaction to the Mushi-drama with Nui and long term exposure in general didn't change only his physical appearance but how things work in his body in general..I think he'd be a really hard character to fit in a sexual situation all these things considered.

Then again, Fangirls don't follow that level of logic with wyte hared bishies :(

edit: HAY THAT WAS KINDOF OFF TOPIC BUT IT WAS DRESSED UP WITH INTERESTING WORDS. TO MAKE THIS MOAR ON TOPIC, FANGIRLS SUX LIEK BAD

Maybe the otaku-ish/hard-core fans are in need of friendship, so they turn to these fake characters and attach to them so much. Also, it could also be considered a "trend" as these preteens come to the internet, they see others doing it, and so they think it's okay and cool to be all fan-crazy. They see other fangirls/boys loving these mad characters and join in for fun. My theory, that's all.

= need to get laid? :0 I agree.

I wish I could comment more thoroughly with examples, but I've drifted out of any fandoms that have English counterparts a while ago. I find that small communities with people who can read actual Japanese tends to have less of those "character-otaku" types in them, though that's speaking a bit broadly.

i rekon there are TOO many inu-yasha fans, in the unnoficial rules, tha guy say that inu yasha has a predictable plot!!! (soz for changing tha subject, i have neva seen those animes ^-^') anyways, i agree with him tremendously, (i like using big words). (and tha onley reason i have a picture of inu yasha and kagome on me list, is that they are the simpelist animes to draw)

anyways, Full metal alchemist has too many fan gurls as well (i like it) but im not in love with ed or alphones or lutenent kurnal mustang!!!!

THERE ONLEY CARTOONS/ ANIMES! Banghead

I agree completely about the whole fangirl thing. They do seem to ruin the characters for some people. Inuyasha was ruined for me by one. All she would talk about was INUINUINU. Plus, it did get old... but you know what I mean.
Sure, you're allowed to like a character. But they're NOT REAL... so you can't marry them. Most are underaged anyway. Ed is what, 16? 15? 17? Underage!!!

I'm a fan of Kakashi and Ed (obviously, look at my avvy) but not one of those rabid.. W00t! "OHMIGODIT'SEDHE'SSOSEXYIWANTTOMARRYHIMANDHAVECHILDREN!!!" or "HOLYSHITIT'SKAKASHIHE'STHECOOLESTCHARACTEREVERNOANIME'SBETTERTHANHIS!!!!!" ones... ugh. Okay, I'm done now.
Ever notice how certain anime characters always get the weirdest/creepiest/most annoying fans, and others seem to be left untouched?

Why is this?

Sometimes it has absolutely nothing to do with the personality of the character, and sometimes it does.

Examples:

Yami Bakura (YGO) : Always has the claimer fangirls who try to act gawth and think blood and gore is a beautiful thing, and proclaim their love for pointy objects. They act like Jhonen Vasquez characters. This could be because of the character himself. He's psycho, and is known to have a thing for blood.

But.

Kakashi (Naruto) : He's a pretty calm character. Intelligent, skilled, etc. So why the hell are all of his fangorls the babbling kind who don't know how to spell? I've never met an intelligent Kakashi fangirl. Ever. E.V.E.R.

Anybody else notice fangirl patterns?
Actually, I'm a fangirl of both of those, and I can spell. And I don't try to act 'goth' unless I'm being sarcastic to the point I want to scream.

One that always snaps my last nerve is:

Kuwabara (Yu Yu Hakusho): WHO THE HELL WOULD LIKE THIS GUY?@!?!?!?! O_O I mean, sure, he's cool and all, but when they start making fansites with him in speedos and in the *beep*, it's a little out of hand.

Reason I know this: A friend of mine told me.

~~

I used to be rabid about Kurama (same show as Kuwabara up there)... >>;;

I remember being rabid fangirl for Kurama too. Kurama basically taught me to draw. But I stopped being rabid for him when I discovered the internet and was like, "OH GOD... They're so ANNOYING. I can't believe i think that way. :X" YYH was my first manga. I can't actually remember why I stopped liking it.

Kurama... wow... good ol' fangirl days... lol.
I'm still a bit of a fangirl.. But I thought Kurama was cool.. I mean really... he turned into a fox. and he uses a rose as a weapon. I thought that was pretty cool.

And... YGO... I never liked that show... and i would never be a fangirl.. why aren't fangirls afraid of being stabbed by the characters hair?

Kakashi: I really... really do not like Naruto (the show, although the character is pretty irritating as well). I like Kakashi. He's smart... and he can be funny... like when he pulled out that manga during the group's little test.. to get the bells...

Hm. fangirls and their crappy art titled "me and inuyasha with kids and kikyo and kagome dead in the BG" wow... your stick-figure art is gunna make Inuyasha pop out of the TV and rape you. fangirls are little 10 year old kids that don't have any friends and don't know how to type.

Kuwabara was one of the only tolerable characters on that show. And his hair was pretty freaking cool.

Also, I'd like to add that he wasn't a Gawth!Wangst!Demon!Fox!Neko!Chan!Shota!Ultra Femme Poju victim!Pikachu!Pantyshot!Inu!Demon!Ichigo!!!!!Mashimaro!!!BARASUI!!!!!GUNDAM!!!!!!!!111 Transvestite. He was a normal highschool bully who worked his way "up" the ladder to be a "Spirit Detective" or whatever they're called these days.

I'd love to meet more fans of this show who actually paid attention to other things in the show besides Kurama Youkou-chan-sama and the skullfuck Victim Hiei, though considering the show has more than one leading male role..That's asking for a bit much.

At least I know fantards could never ever get into JoJo's Bizarre adventure or Fist of the North Star

Fist of the North Star. I've seen that movie, it was pretty cool. I liked that little girl... the one with the pink hair, I forgot her name, and her friend was pretty cool too. I want goggles like his. lol.

is there a Fist of the North Star series? I might have seen one around sometime if there is.. but I've only seen the movie.

Yeah, there's a Fist of the North star TV series, it's like 150 episodes or so. Really old but really good. Cool

Yeah.. Kakashi quickly springs to mind when I read this topic.

I know found about.. 2 respectable Kakashi fans. Out of all the ones I know. =|

Especially at my school. A lot of us are anime/manga people, and Naruto's definitely the biggest series you see there, or Fruits Basket. And I know about 20+ Kakashi fangirls. ONE of them is respectable. All the rest are constantly bitching about all the stuff they have and how dedicated they are to him and how he loves them... it's really, REALLY, annoying.
Everyone I know seems to go crazed for Gaara or....Much to my dislike Sasuke. I can't even stand Sasuke anymore because everyone just adores him.

I actually like both those characters, though I really perfer Itachi or Orochimaru Neutral (As in if I had to see more of someone, it'd be one of them.) Though, it's true that Gaara and Sasuke have Teh Em0ness!! background's and stuff, I still find them interesting to the series, though in the American one, they seem quite, quite more bland than in the Japanese one. Then again, I hate the American dubbed because it sounds very.. emotionless, robotic.. etc. Like right before the Chuunin exam, when Iruka does that pre-test? The scene where Sakura/Sasuke were fighting sounded so dull and boring.

"Oh, I'm going to kill you now."
"Watch out, Sasuke."

:| Ghey. Or maybe it's just me, dunno, but I really hate the American series. So yeah, they're definitely better in the Japanese. Anywaays... that got really off topic.

Oh, one more thing..:
What happen to liking healthy dependable happy non-perverted men?
No such thing as a non-perverted man/boy since the internet happened, I don't think. :|

Edited for better sentence structure. XD

. . . . i dont have to worry about that, i'm about the only one in my school who likes anime and manga

Inuyasha fangirls *shudder* totally put me off the show. As for Naruto, Kakashi is my favourite character but i am not obsessed or anything, i'm trying to ignore the fangirls for Naruto, i actually quite like the show.
