I'd heard Kojima said he was based off of Snake Plissken from the [i]Escape from New York[/i] and [i]Escape from L.A.[/i] movies.

I must be the only one who thought that list wasn't funny at all. It seemed... lazy. Like they just went with the first characters that came to mind.
I for one would not have excluded this stupid looking thing from the list:
