Well, here are some summaries some of my forum buds have put up:
The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya
(seen: 2 Episodes)
Haruhi Suzumiya is bored with a world of ordinary people, after declaring that only "Aliens, time travellers, sliders or espers" interest her she searches the school for a club or person of interest. Failing to find what she was looking for Haruhi starts her club the "Save the World by Overloading it with fun Suzumiya Haruhi's Brigade" (AKA the S.O.S. Brigade). It's Highschool bizarro drama with a light feel and interested characters.
I thought it was awesome, and enjoyed it, particularly the first episode. Can't wait for more.
Ergo Proxy
(seen: 1 Episode)
In a futuristic world where robots are everywhere there is a elite city where many seek to become Citizens. However in the city there is some kind of virus causing some robots to enter a frenzy killing humans. There is also something else, possibly a robot, has escaped from some kind of lab and has been seen near some of the crazed robots. The main character is a police officer who seems something of a miss fit but is well respected and apparntly has relatives in high places. It's a dark looking cyberpunk similar in feel to Bubblegum Crisis and Ghost in the Shell. Excellent animation and stylish gun battles.
I liked this a lot. I do like the cyberpunk genre but find I often instinctively dislike individual titles (I never liked Ghost in the Shell for example). However this is looking very good and I'm definitely going to be getting more.
Kiba
(seen: 2 Episodes)
Zedd is a miss fit who seems to break doors as a hobbies, apparently in the search for somewhere he fits in. Living in a futuristic city with no wind he follows a strange breeze he "finds" while escaping the police. This leads him to getting sucked into another world, one totally powered by the wind. Here "Shard Casters" use their power to defend the country and seemly fight each other. Some advanced "Shard Casters" can summon "Spirits" to fight for them also. Naturally it turns out that the strange marks on Zedd's arm mean he is a "Shard Caster" and surprisingly he has an all powerful "Spirit" too.
In case you hadn't guessed I wasn't too impressed. It seemed very clich to me with Zedd running around doing random things for no adequately explained reason, other than the fact it's cool. I can foresee a long and boring road ahead of him where he gets stronger until he eventually kills what ever bad guy seems to have been running around. I won't be getting more.
Digimon Savers
(2 Episodes Seen)
Masaru, is a second year Junior High student, and is undefeated in battle, He meets the Digital Monster Agumon, who has escaped from DATS, a secret government organization. Despite terrible first impressions, the two become best friends by talking with their "fists". With others, Masaru and Agumon work to investigate various incidents involving the Digital World and Digital Monsters, to try and get to the bottom of things.
Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora (Hantsuki for short): Looking up at the Half-Moon
(Seen: All 6 Episodes)
Genres: Drama, Romance
from Animenfo
In a winter when he was in the second grade of high school, Yuichi was hospitalized because of hepatitis. Soon, he recovered enough as to be scolded by the nurse for going out of the hospital. One day, he happened to meet Rika, a girl of his age, in the next building. He was fascinated by her beauty, but she was a very selfish girl. Although she led him by the nose, he began to be attracted by her. However, when Rika told him about her illness, he knew why she acted so selfish; she couldnt live long.
I like this anime. Although it is a drama, Hantsuki did have some moments that made me laugh. Also, despite being only 6 episodes long, the story didn't feel like it was rushed.
School Rumble: 2nd Semester
A continuation of the first season of School Rumble. Harima Kenji, Tsukamoto Tenma and Hanai Haruki are still chasing after their dreams being with the ones they have a crush on. While the others do their things too. If you liked season one then you will like season two. If you have not watched season one then you may have a little trouble understanding the storyline at first.
I like it a lot since I'm a fan of School Rumble.
Episodes watched: 3
Kannaduki no Miko
Episodes seen: all 12
Genres: Drama, Magical girl, Mecha, Yuri, Shounen, Supernatural
From ANN:
The highborn Himemiya Chikane is cool and aloof, the perfect young lady of good breeding. Kurusegawa Himeko is devoted to her, and secretly her friend. Their lives are undisturbed in their school, until an ancient evil suddenly rears its head. To combat it, Chikane and Himeko must take on the roles of shrine maidens of the Moon and Sun.
Vol. 1 of DVD coming April 25!

Well, if anyone'd like to contribute some info of some that they watched, that's be nice ^^
Maybe the summaries might convince some to watch some of these anime.

i've seen nana and ouran high school host club...
they're both shojo animes, but they're really good...
nana is a more serious anime about two roomates in tokyo who share the same name, but they're totally different...well, you have to watch it to really understand it...the animation in this one is really lovely!!
and ouran high school host club is really cute and funny...the animation for this one is really clean and nicely done...it's about this girl haruhi who is a scholarship student in a fancy high school...she's dressed really badly in the beginning and she breaks a vase that belongs to the school's host club so she has to dress as a guy and become a host to pay off the debt because she's not rich like the other students there...
but yeah..i highly recommend ouran high school host club...even if it only has two episodes out so far...the next one is airing in japan tonight... |

I've only been following .hack//ROOTS as well as the new season of Fate/stay night. I've also been trying to follow Disgaea - the animation isn't anything special, but since it's only going to be one season (13 eps) I figure I might as well stick it out. :B _________________

I live a sheltered life with only sixty channels.
