Lately the newbies have been making some mistakes on posting topics, whether it's in the wrong section or it's just pointless. The first time they do it it's probably an honest mistake, but three or four times? Now what I was thinking is that if they do such mistakes like these a lot, they'll be put in a special member's group that can't create topics until they've proven themselves. It's an interesting alternative than suspending people. _________________
Brian Danielson, more importent that any anime or anime character, why? Cause he actually exists. |

...or it must go through a moderator's approval before their topics/posts appearing in the forum.
although that would be too much work if one of those did RP or something. _________________ "Sarah's future makes me sad." - Benk |

I thought that was disabled attachments?
Guess you can add the moderated posts/topics mask on it too. _________________ Knowledge is no burden to carry. |

Were we to do this, setting up a single new group wouldn't do, because we'd only be able to handle posting permissions on a per-group basis (not per member). _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

I'd have to go with Denis's idea of having them be a "Certified n00b." _________________ I'm a zombie. Yarg.

There are actually 3 members in the "Certified N00b" group, you're just the only one who still visits and posts.
Hmm... actually, now that we have the warning system active, make that two members. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

We're talking about members that completely ignore site rules and continue to post without the slightest clue in the world, even when told to re-read the rules.
Certified N00b was a group for those members that posted attachments constantly and were warned several times in the process and were told to stop but kept on doing so. Therefor had attachments feature locked/disabled.
What I think there should be... like everyone said, there should be a different n00b group...Perhaps called plain "N00b" that have everything posted is constantly moderator approved.

Permissionary masks work only with the groups don't they? Damn I thought there was a Member something in there... I think there is one under membering Edit that allows you moderate posting for # of hours/days, you can just move them in some n00b group in the duration and once it ends take them out. :/ don't have to make a group either... just a suggestion... _________________ Knowledge is no burden to carry. |
