God of War has the best soundtrack I've ever heard from a game.

Half Life 2 and Devil May Cry 3 have some good music though...however, this music isn't always good. Unlike God of War.

I've always been fond of Chrono Trigger's music. It was the first time I ever payed so much attention to and really enjoyed the music from a video game.

I also like Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy IX, and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, to name a few.

The ones in FFX-2 were awful, though, weren't they? I guess some of the music was good in FF VIII too.

Yeah I think FF1's was better......still shoulda kept the same victory one.
Best FF game for them would be.....either 7 or 9 I guess.

Final Fantasy are great and some Zelda soundtracks are pretty good too. I know I always liked the music in Deku Palace and Gerudo Valley Smile

I'm a fan of Shadow Hearts' tracks. Tubular bells, chanting vocals, ambient themes galore. :wub:

The Final Fantasy series is also a good place to look. Shin Megami Tensei is kinda overlooked in that department, but there's some really good ones hidden in that series. What else...that hasn't been mentioned...

Castlevania? In general...mmm.

I haven't played most of those. Apart from the FF series, of course!
