Then you're obviously not a very experienced artist. Skin isn't just one flat color. When she (?) said she uses pink for her art, she didn't mean she just colors the skin solid pink. When I'm coloring my anime stuff, sure, I usually only use tans, peaches, pinks (for shine), and browns. But skin can contain many colors in light and shadow, even greens and blues. I usually do that more in my painting portaits, though. :/

Olive greens constitute about 10 percent of the colors I use for skins. I use variety of colors for kin, and it looks the best that way too.

Hey, you don't know whether I'm experienced or not! You can't just accuse me of being a bad artist! You've never even seen my art! Besides, that's not what I meant... |

I didn't call you bad. I called you inexperienced. ^_^ And if that's not what you meant, then please, do explain.... _________________ FAC |

I use all colors, at all times.
Actually, i usually don't use color when drawing in traditional mediums. But i do run out of Vine charcoal far more than i should.
Um, i guess i don't use purples that often. I like reds and blues (ha, go figure on that bit of irony ). You see those a lot in my stuff. _________________

I used to rarely use orange until I gave one of my OCs and orange shirt. :/ Still don't use it too often other than for her. _________________ FAC |

Anything involving "phthalo" tends not to get used. It stands out WAY too much and takes too much to tone down.
Black, although it's technically not a color, is something I never use when I'm working with color.
Other than that, I use everything else. _________________ 222.

Acutally... I don't really use black that much either. Usually only when I'm drawing a character, animal or whatever I use black. that is, unless the pic is gonna be black and white. Do shades count in this topic? |

I'm suddenly getting the impression that you're sorta goth. _________________ --Small minds talk about people, average minds talk about events, great minds talk about ideas. But of a humble heart, the Lord wil not scorn, and from its abundance the mouth speaks.
