Yeah. That was lame. Had to get someone 18+ to go with us to see it, and it ended up being relatively un-gory. 18A? I was expecting like... blood everywhere. Then it was just when Pyramid Head ripped off that chick's skin and threw it at the door, plus the ending. There weren't even any scary bits, like you said before. I think my nerves must have reached high tension throughout the entire movie expecting something terrifying to happen. But it didn't.
LAME.
:| I think that 15 is a much better rating. Then again, I guess the cinema doesn't want angry parents sueing the pants off them because their children have been permanently psychologically scarred by a scene of moderate gore. _________________

Amen to that.
Though my favourite was probably the one you mentioned earlier, the wire mesh maze bit. The camera was sexy, and it was even better because it reminded me so much of the game. That was some great stuff.
Didn't quite understand what all that business with her husband was about, though. I suppose the only point of the scenes with him was to show how much he cared about his family, thus making the ending hit a little harder. In a way. Which I still don't quite get; I have my own hypothesis about it but I'd rather hear from others first since mine's somewhat far-fetched. That, and I've only played the first game. 8D _________________

The thing with the wire-mesh maze bit that bugged me was that it comes straight from the game. All that creepy camera work was used in that scene. then the siren goes, the lights go out, the body on the bed is found, the dismembered corpse. The only bit missing from that scene was where the protagonist tries to turn round and finds there's no longer a path and instead there's a fence and barrells. _________________ "You know what? I saw it the day it came out, it was pretty good, but damn loud at some parts like when she was being chased by the Gray Children (the ashy baby things). Pyramid Head ruled, even though on the site he is called the Red Pyramid instead of his tru name Pyramid Head. Oh and did anyone notice at the end how the barbed wires went up Crytabella's dress.... weird.... very very weird.... |

I quite liked that last bit; it made me go, "Ooh, Vlad the Impaler!!"

Outside the church scene was well good!
were the nurces solar powerd?
what did my (pyramid)head in was when the small children burnt (though that was funny) the music "ring of fire came on" and i near enough worked out the ending! is was about as easy as a dream of art attack!
it was funny coz in the cinema there was a lone fat woman eating nachos.
I laughed all the way through and there were people much older than us screaming! and i got in although i was under aged!
My fav bit was at the end with barbed wire girl i mean, when that church lady got ripped apart cracked me up and then the bloked was squeesed so hard his innerds flew out! Oh and when the lying creature thre acid at the cop (i forget her name) that was funny! _________________ |

Care to translate that to English?
I, for one, thought the movie was SUPAFLY. The only parts I can think of that I really didn't like we're this one line, (" They say this place is haunted HURRRR :B") and Alessa's giant speech towards the end.
The first half of it was the best, I think, what with all of the scenery and camera angles lifted directly from the game. <3 It was also pretty cool how they didn't show Pyramid Head too much. I kindof expected him to have a huge, fanservice-y role in the whole thing. But he did not and all is right with the world.
Anyway...

I haven't seen it yet... :x
I will once it comes out on DVD...
I am proud to live in the state it was set in though. Good ol' West Virginia. ^_^
~~
I played the fourth one, but I got stuck on the Water Prison. x-x Damn you, turning wheels of death...
I watched my mom play most of the second and third one, but she refused to let me watch her play the first one. I can see why. I was six when the first one came out. _________________ Best Quote Ever: "B&."- Said by multiple people.

Did you even play the game? You're asking stupid questions.
And thanks for spoiling the end of the movie, jackass. _________________

It was good in the sense that it pulled off the atmosphere of the game pretty much flawlessly. The acting was terrible, though. _________________ a jelly calypso castle in the sky |

That was exactly what I thought of it. At first I was like "GAWD this is some horrible acting"... Then I realized it was exactly the same caliber as in the games. After I came to terms with that I thouroughly enjoyed it. Maybe not a great movie, but the most loyal game-to-film adaptation I've ever seen.
Also, what it lacks script-wise it more than makes up for with it's cinematography. Gorgeous, goreous shots, layout, framing. Textbook perfect with every scene. _________________

Imma jump on the bandwagon and say that I thought the movie was wonderful visually, great directing and everything, but that the acting was just downright... 'bleh.' I also thought that in certain parts, they obviously assumed you were a player or knew a lot about SH already, which is a bold step to take. But it's a lot better than trying to make it 'equal for all audiences, whether or not they've played the game,' aka Resident Evil. I didn't like the first movie all too well, and I despise the second.
I <3 pyramid head. Skin-rippy. |

I saw it! I saw it! And I liked it.
Especially the part where Pyramid Head ripped that chick's skin off.
(You know that deserves nothing less than the "graywub") _________________
