Revolution's Real Name: Wii?

You screwed your argument when you said months ago. Ever since the name changed to Wii hardly anyone has been talking about PS3 and Xbox 360 as of late.

k, you're saying the wii is distracting people from xbox and ps, when actually, talks about those consoles have slowed even before revolution changed its name. i'm trying to tell you that. the name change isn't the reason us here aren't talking about ps3 and xbox. it brought nintendo into light when no other console is around in the news. you're giving it too much credit. once all the hype bogs down, you'll see.

and your gray comment... you can't decide what you want to believe. is it going to "fly off the shelves" because of its name? or because "All systems sell well at first"? pls make sense next post, k?

Xbox maybe. But PS3? I heard a lot about it ever since we've come into E3 season (I classify April to the end of May E3 season =P). And that comment had nothing to do with the name. I said that almost all consoles fly off the shelves at first.

all i really want to know is what will you choose between the three consoles first? i'd choose the PS3, and then Xbox. i'm going to have to wait on the wii. lol. you can let yourself be fooled with internet and tv raves about its name, if thats all they need to get you to buy their product. I'll wait and see what people think of the actual console, before i decide to buy it.

and in the end, all thats going to matter is who chooses what. what makes most money. i'd love to test out the new controller, but i'm not paying $$ on an entire console just to try it. i'll either let one of my idiot friends do that or go to gamestop and try it. and still, i'm going to need good games, the controller itself isnt going to get me to buy it. Gray gave me a small list of games coming out, not really my type, but they're popular games from the franchise.

and wow... people talking about game consoles on a gaming forum

if sony were to announce something noone knew already about the PS3, you could forget about all the wii talk for awhile.

They just did. The Sony controller is going to have motion tilt. Not nearly as good as the Wii controller or the functionality, which alludes to the fact that so far Nintendo is indeed winning E3 as we speak.

Wii is a smart machine capable of alot more than the other next-gen consoles, though it also has it's flaws in power and processing. That said, don't underestimate the Wii. Nintendo may seem like they're going a little nuts in thier old age but you'll see. Nintendo have far from finished from wowing the crowds... come E3, that baby will blow the others out of the water with innovation, design, games (and everything involved in gaming), pricing and all that lark.

This whole rabble about the name is just a ploy. Who knows, they might pull a sony ps3 controller and just change it at the last minute. I doubt it but anything's possible right now.

Nintendo aren't stupid. The name may have deterred alot of people from buying it but they'll see they'll need a Wii sooner or later.

I duno what James' point is... I don't read his posts.. : /

but this is what i've said.. i'm all for nintendo making a splash and all, just not this way. the name sucks, i've been trying to say this whole time that the name doesnt matter, whats going to matter is how good the console will be. Sounds good so far from what you say. but yeah, you're right, the name has gotten people out of the whole deal, its a pretty bad name. It was better at Revolution, which i really like.

that article could have been less biased. first the ps3 may be copying nintendo... but then again they say sony experimented with this controller before :\

either way, it would be nice to have the motion controller on playstation, though they may be right, you give up more with it.
