Self explanitory. Vote which you think is better. Comment please. Give us storys of your pets...

Yes well, I kept crowding the Christmas Wish list Topic with pet stuff, so AHA! I made a poll asking whether you like cats or dogs more. I prefer Cats, but I still love my dog. He's rly stupid thou, but he's only a puppy.

He has a habit of bringing in stuff from the yard, like peices of rotting trees, rocks, and coconuts. But now he's become a theif. My backyard is split in two by a creek (about 2m wide, 2m deep) theres not much water in it atm thou. Theres the part of the yard attached to the house which is the "the yard" and then the part that is completely independant of our house on the other side of the creek, called the "island".
The dog used to drag stuff over the bridge from the island. He used to bring over mangga and balimbing (uhhh give me a sec to figure out the english for that.... Mango's and... 5-star fruit... it's has a star shape... duh....couldnt tell that by the name or anything, I have a tendency to call some things their Tagalog name, bare with me) but anyway~! Yeah, but now he's got a habit of stealing things from the neighbours yard, he just runs straight thru the creek n into the neighbours yard. He's brought back squeek toys, plush toys... meat. Kids toys... we should return them soon...heh'
And mom hates it when he brings coconuts in. He's always bringing them in and leaving them everywhere... like infront of the bathroom, in the bathtub, on your bed...
Me and my brother play rough with the dog (we shouldn't, but we cant help it... he's a big dog... ) like we'll throw stuff at him (nothing solid.. stuff like pillows and squeek toys)... tackle him... he loves it. But getting him 2 stop is hard... >_> <_< But yeah, my brother punched him in the arm by accident (he was aiming for the ribs but missed) and he like... collapsed. Mom came in yelling at him.. I sat back n snickered for a while... apparently he nearly dislocated his arm. >_> <_< My bro just sat there... lookin like "Ahh crap, I've done it now... " Mom was glareing at him... but the dog was fine. He sat on my bro's lap (with great difficulty, the dog cant even sit on the chair properly, he's 2 big) and the dog was all peachy.

But yes, theres some wonderfully "interesting" stories of mine. Cheers all n a Happy new Year~!!
-Lucien

I like cats. I have a kitty named Magic, but we call her baby.

She is kinda uncoordinated. She runs into walls and skids on floors and stuff... Once, she was standind in my bedroom doorway and I turned toward her. She got freaked and hit her head on the door. Then she staggered off into my room.

I aso have a parakeet named Flame. he is stupid. My cat likes to try and eat him. At first the birdcage was on a low wooden drawer thing. My cat easily jumped onto this and tipped over the cage. Then the cage was on a table. Gues what! She jumped up there too. Then we moved the chairs but she still jumped up. (She is good at jumping!) Next, we put the cage on top of a stack drawer thingie (It is a tallish thing with drawerds to keep stuff in). Now she climbs up the drawer lkike stairs. it is rather annoying...

I could go on, but I dun wanna waste your time.

haha those are interesting pet stories, guys!

umm not being allowed to have pets (our last pet, a black cat named Mickey, died when i was 4 or 5), i don't have any stories of my own. but, most of my friends have pets so i am around dogs (and sometimes cats) a lot of the time. haha my one friend has a dog named lilly. i think she's a lab or golden retriever. actually i dont know b/c i really dont know much about dogs, but she's rather large and has tan fur and sheds a lot. but the one thing that always sticks out in my mind about her is that when she's excited and is wagging her tail, she doesn't actually wag her tail, she's wags her entire lower body. it's sooo funny to see her- she just starts jumping around and will actually go walking around wagging her butt from side to side. ahahaha i find it amusing, but you probably have to be there, soooo yea...

o and also, once my friend's cat got stuck in the drier- and it was turned on. aww when she was found she was trembling and had bits of fur missing so it looked like she was going bald.

where do you live that you have coconuts, lucien? (where i'm from those aren't very common). and sorry, but what is tagalog? i've never heard of that before.

o and i voted for cats, because they are much cooler than dogs.

I voted kitkat pattywhack kittens and cats. There have been instances where I welcomed strays into my house. Well, actually... There was a hole in the door of one of the places I lived and a cat got in. I fed it, but then I had to let it go, but not before naming it Mars(after the candy bar *sweatdrops*). My faves were Tigger and Furball, but sadly they had to leave me, too Sad

aww i'm sorry tenthdivine. *waves goodbye to Mars, Tigger, and Furball*

hey kane, your story reminds me of this kid's book i used to have called Six-Dinner Sid. it was about this cat that 6 neighbours each thought they owned, but the cat just travelled around from house to house at mealtime so he could eat more. eventually the people figured out that sid had been mooching off their food, so they decided to take turns caring for him.

hmm ok that was a corny and pointless story. sorry. Uneasy

Well Alex I like in Australia. I live in North Queensland, the town I live in is a port city and is on the beach. But coconut trees are common here... we had 3 in the front yard, but we had to chop them down because it was a hazard because of the powerlines and the mainroad. The coconuts could fall on people and kill them or something. We still have the 2 coconut trees in the backyard thou. It's a pretty tropical climate here.

And tagalog is a dialogue from the Philippines. Depending on what provinces your from and stuff... I think. But yeah, it has a few spanish influences for some of the words and stuff. Cat = Pusa, Dog = Aso. "Nakatira ako sa Manila noong ako'y bata." Which means "When I was a child, I was living in Manila." Don't quote me on that thou, I'm pretty rusty on the Tagalog. Manila is the capital of the Philippines mind you.

Well, Mom is always yelling at me because I have a habit of feeding anything and everything that comes into the yard. I feed all the 'stray' animals in the neighbourhood. Well, all the animals that come to the house that is. I usually feed the goanna's, posums, cats, dogs, birds... the Kangaroo's and scrub turkeys usually feed themselves. Mind you, don't start thinking that Kangaroo's and the like are everywhere in my city. It's pretty rare having native animals in your yard if you live on a main road, but I live inbetween the hill and the beach, so lots of animals end up in our yard. If your out bush, well then there's lots of native animals there. Apparently on the Island off the coast of my town (about 1-2 KM away) there are Koala's in the trees at the golf course. But I rarely, if ever go to the island. It's too expensive...My friend lives there, he's always complaining because he has to take the ferry into town. I don't think I would mind. Well... I have gotten off track. Heh' Sorry... Cheers all,
-Lucien

*is easily impressed*

wow that's so cool! i think it'd be awesome to have so many animals everywhere. except bugs. bugs are not cool. there's not much of a variety of animals where i live- mostly sparrows, pigeons, and squirrels. and mosquitos (haha the national bird of new jersey).

o thanks for explaining the tagalog thing- i know a few people from the philippines, but i've never heard of it.

can coconuts really kill people? hmm well i suppose if a penny falling off the empire state building can dent someone's skull, a coconut could do quite a bit of damage....

eep sorry if i've gone off-topic. uhhh to reiterate: cats rule! yea!
