A little advice needed here. Another coherent question from yours truly. It's about art programs....COMPUTER programs. I only have MS Paint, but are there bigger, better art programs I can get for free on the internet? Example: good programs to draw with; look better then MS Paint. I'd read the forums, but it's like 11:31 and I have a lot going on the day after I post this.

Ah, I know that you suffer with MS Paint.
I found pixels not that bad to work with, and if you want something just a few steps up from paint, you can try oekaki.
There are lots of oekaki boards out there, though most take registration. But if the board's active, getting signed up shouldn't be much of a problem, and there are still a few 'free' boards out there. :)

oekaki is like something between photoshop and paint, it is completely computer-done [unless you upload and can work with that] and there's fill, watercolors, a palette... pretty simple [with a few quick tutorials] but also pretty good. I enjoy using oekaki a lot [though be good with mouse or have a tablet] and really expert people can create masterpieces and really beautiful artwork on oekaki. :3

Yes.Oekaki is done completely online. The results you get are usually less pixelly than MS Paint drawings, and they support transparency and layers, unlike Paint.I think some even have some filter capabilities.

I'm pretty sure GIMP is the best choice.Unless you participate in illegal activity.

If you're intrested in other types of art like fractals,Apophysis is free and it's good.Terragen is also free, and capable of making some very realsistic landscapes.

Or you could always download a trial version of Photoshop from the Adobe website.

Well uh...asuming you're running on Windows... Here. You also need to download the GTK and runtime environment thing too, in order to run it apparently...

Damn it all. NONE of them worked. Well, they DID work, but as with all the others, they were installed, but the most I can do with them is either uninstall or language adjustment. Anything else you need to tell me here?

Not that I can think of...

I just downloaded it myself to make sure that there were no problems, and it ran fine. =/

Are you sure you unzipped the file before you installed it? That's all I can think of...

Well Paru, after much trial and error (and a lot of coffee) I managed to find the right file...by delving so deep into the site that I got dizzy. Anyway, thanks for helping. I should make one pretty soon....or maybe not, depending on this touchpad of mine.
