i thought we may be able to mtalk about the games and consoles that have been thrown away by the shops, yep im talking about the N64, SNES, NES, Amega (how i loved my amega), Megadrive 1 and 2, scorpion 8, master system, saturn, snk, game boy, game boy coulour, game gear, atari, 32X and whatevr else i missed out.
When we hade the Amega eons ago, i had a game where you went round as this ninja assassin guy collecting chupa chups lollys, and another which was probably the best one i had SUPER FROG, what that was all about was anyones guess.
You know when you had the Mega drive(2) did you ever have a game called the last battle? with all the bangin' techno music, it was funny 'coz when you attacked someone they go flying off the screen in an orderly fashon.
talk to me... or you could just let it sink to davie jones' locker if you want. _________________ |

I think there is generally a golden rule to those old school games. And that you'd had to have played them originally to hold any interest in them now. For the most part (I'm sure some folks go and get that stuff out of curiousity, or interest in old school gaming).
But I think in general, the old stuff is only good to reminice. I still have most of my old systems. I still play the Genesis on very rare occasion, and I play my Saturn from time to time. I don't really play my 64 anymore though. I'm not a big fan of the three handled controller (Hello nintendo... nobody has three hands..)
But maybe I should come to some sort of point here. Those old games are becoming more and more for the people who played them back in the day. And well eventually the shops would have to stop stocking them, cause people for the most part stop buying them. But if you do wanna find old games at a store, find an independant game store.
Aside from that, I don't think many people would care about my old school collection. But I do, so who cares about them! |
