I'm twelve. Why the hell would I want to see "The 'Da Vinci' code"?
Honestly, I paid no interest in the book when either of parents read it, but laughed with my dad about how the use of "Anakin Skywalker" would attract Star Wars fans to the adverts. It was funny then, but now he seems to have gotten the wrong end of the F**king stick.
We were lined up to go to a cool airshow with WW2 aircraft flying and perhaps giving those old rusty guns a little rattle. it was all set, only the fact I wouldn't get back to london until about 7:00pm and it'd be a school night <_<. I could live with it.
But my parents argued and called off the airshow. I'm sad already, with the promise of "Other Airshows"
My step-mother wants to see "The 'Da Vinci' Code" so my father decides that we'll all go watch it on Saturday...I'm twelve. I don't give a bloody damn about no movie, I'd rather just stay home, watch Dr. Who and kick some A**E on wi-fi.
Sorry for the bad language, but I'm so angry right now, and disappointed at the prospects of the weekend. And it isn't the actual film I'm angry about. its two hours I won't get back, sure, but its my Dad's lack of consideration of me!
Ok, I won't rant any longer, because I'll go on forever otherwise.
EDIT: Sorry, thought I was in random, Can a mod please move it? _________________ I came

Actually you'll probally like the movie for the movie part of it. Don't bash something till you try it. I'm 13 and I've read the compleat works of Both Oscar Wilde And Edgar Allen Poe, both on my mother request and noth I went in thinking I was going to hate and came out having two more favorite authors. |

I agree, though. It's like this book I read. I didn't like the title... But it's now one of my favourite books! |

Things don't always end up as you would think. One day you might hate a book and then the next day you are addicted to it. I do hate when I lose time if I have something important to do. If you don't want to see the movie so much why don't you ask you parents if you can see a differnt movie or not go at all. Or you could pretend that you are sick and get out of it. _________________ It is a thousand times better to have common sense without education than to have education without common sense. |

I can't quite agree with you because I loved the book and look forward to the movie, but I sympathize with your situation. You did get the short end on this one. _________________

My ideas could get people hurt and I don't think he would be up to it Dag. Unless you want to trust me or get in some deep du du. Don't worry you can trust me can't you.*smirks evily with sharp teeth. _________________ It is a thousand times better to have common sense without education than to have education without common sense. |

^_^ Sounds positive from you guys...And the parents thing...
My Dad's incredibly stubborn, beyond the laws of stubborn. No seriously, try arguing with him, he'll get all defensive and act like hes the one under pressure. Then he'll holda grudge against you for the rest of the day and say stuff like "Well thats not my problem" and "...Come on,Matt, this is ridiculous.
Still, atleast I've had my rant. Now if only someo'd move it too random... _________________ I came

Dude you don't even know. My dad will start bringing up stuff you did and use it aganst. You and then he drags my mom into the picture and it is two against one. Try dealing with two parents who want you to be absolutly perfect and make you do everything they want. Try staying out of the room when my parents fight. There is NO safe plave to hide. _________________ It is a thousand times better to have common sense without education than to have education without common sense. |

Try saying this instead:
I am not going and if you make me I will go on strike. Or lock yourself in your room until they let you not go. Me, I just don't care if my parents get pissed. They were the ones who messed with me first so they will pay the price. _________________ It is a thousand times better to have common sense without education than to have education without common sense. |

You're brave. I can't say anything like that at all to my parents. They always expect me to be perfect! <_< |

...Ah.
See you guys probably aren't aware of my sit'. Heck, why would you?
Parents got divourced a few eyars ago but my Dad has remarried. My Step-mother had three miscarriages and now can't have children. Bravely, they go for an adoption. A chinese adoption. Fails and arguments explode from it, spanning into my world and wrecking my relationship with my Dad.
"F**K off Dad" would end him throwing a fit then yelling at my Step-mother and other crap! Ugh, my sit' stinks! _________________ I came

all the parents expect us to be perfect, they always want us to be what they never where.
Anyway I don't think that not wanting to see a movie is being not perfect, everybody has something good.
use me and my little sister for example, she is the responsible one and the one who gets good grades at school, she always do what my parents want her to do (at least that is what they think), but i, I'm the bad one, ask them about what am I good at, they would tell u nothing, I am good at drawing, since I was small, horse riding is something I do very well too, for them it counts like nothing because it is not a career
as u see being good for most of the people depends on WHAT you are good at, that is one of the reasons of why I came in this site, I love drawing but anybody really aprecciates it. |
